A Bridge to Forest City, CA – Forest Trails Alliance (Short Edit)

Forest City,CA is located just above Downieville, CA on the Pliocene Ridge. It is a historic mining town that hosted thousands of people during the Gold Rush and has miles of old pikes, flumes and ditches that have fallen into disrepair.

Things are changing in town thanks to new property owners who are fixing there mining shacks and putting a serious effort in to restoring the abandoned trail system. The trail efforts are being led by Zachi Anderson and his Forest Trails Alliance ninja’s. The FTA has signed Memorandums Of Understanding with the National Forest Service and now operate a professional trail service capable of the highest quality trail work.

There is currently 30 miles of restore trail surrounding Forest City, with a proposed plan to develop the Mexican Mine trail to connect Forest City and Downieville via the North Yuba Trail.

This will instantly create one of the largest networks of multi use trails in Northern California.

Long term goals include establishing a Hut – to – Hut system for extreme recreational experiences.

    Thanks for watching!
YES – our group is very aware of the deep and colorful mining history of Forest City, including the Cemetery, mines, and of course the pikes and flumes used for the mining.

These areas so far remain in there natural state, and are respected as part of the beautiful landscape.

The Forest City Historical Association is the group that has taken the reins for preserving this history.

I moved to Forest in 1975 with my parents from southern California. The entire town was our playground. My sister and I were the only kids for awhile then there were at the most 7 kids. What a great place to grow up. There wasn’t a place we did not explore, including all the buildings that were locked and "forbidden" We moved out in 1987. Not much fun as a teenager. I recently went back to find that my childhood home hade been torn down. Very sad. Our bike trails weren’t so elaborate but we did ride everywhere including to Downieville and Alleghany to go to school. Great memories.

No ones gonna ride off with your illegal grow. Public land anyway. Deal with it.

Oh I love it when its OK for liberals to start tearing the (FUCK) out of the forests for their important Mountain Biking needs. They are forest lovers "NEEDS" I tell ya! haha  Yeah what a bunch of fucking liberal hypocrites!  They just pull this whole "green eco lover" shit so that they can TAKE-OVER the most beautiful land in the world with their liberal owned Government backing them up just for their own selfish, intrusive and out right destructive purposes..  Liberals are FUCKING HYPOCRITICAL SCUM and I am so glad that most of the US society is finally beginning to see just how NASTY these vile slugs really are!  lol
