This is the 2020 season finale of the Wednesday Hunte Parkway Training Circuit Race Series in Chula Vista, CA. This is a 3.1 mile L-shaped course with two 5%+ big ring rolling hills.

We were racing as a squad today and brought out the SDBC kits. We are all of various categories and hadn’t really ridden with this particular make-up before. Zach was our main guy today as we knew he could win the field sprint. We wanted to wear the field down with an attack counter attack philosophy and a lot of aggressive, positive racing v. parking the bus and racing negative.

Early on he was able to land in the break and we didn’t chase. Once the break was gone and was going to stick I took it upon myself to start throwing a flurry of attacks, as usual.

This one was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to increasing my fitness over the next year or so and ready to kick off the 2021 season firing on all cylinders.

Congrats to Rafa for the Win, Max for 2nd, and Zach for 3rd to round out the podium.

I took 9th here overall and my other teammate Fern won the field sprint for 5th. Overall, we had three SDBC squad members round out the Top 10.

Looks like fun. What’s the format of the ride? Is this a weekly ride or practice race series?

Good stuff man! I got a solid dub on that 9th lap!
Thinking about those couple haymakers you threw on the peloton there. If you were able to pull two guys out with you, say fern and Spencer, you might have been able to really sling shot them up the road.

Dalton, thanks for sharing. The WHPT: Saturday Edition looked very tough. SDBC did really well. Congrats to all of you. 🤝
