What Happens When Bike Tires Are Filled With Helium?

What Happens When Bike Tires Are Filled With Helium?

Today we are filling bike tires with helium, sulfur hexafluoride, and even water! Will the bike still be rideable? Will the bike tires be able to bounce?

Now you fill a car tire with water

  3. michael brinks on December 9, 2022 at 12:44 am

I think Mythbusters filled a football with helium to see if it could be kicked farther and it didn’t make any difference.

  4. Rick Astley on December 9, 2022 at 12:46 am

    Make a jet-engine bike.

  5. German Tagliarini on December 9, 2022 at 12:46 am

you should try with the same volume, not the same pressure

  6. Keaton sparks ( trucks trains and vlogs on December 9, 2022 at 12:47 am

    Now fill it with oxy-acetylene

  7. Andy80Nor on December 9, 2022 at 12:48 am

That is not helium, it balloon gas. It is diluted. Seems as if you could get real hexafluoride, you should also be able to get som real helium

Another reason to fill tires with water… acts as a counter weight for tractor tires. No need for a counterbalance if the tires are heavier at least for most farm jobs.

  9. Syrusoo on December 9, 2022 at 12:50 am

Tractors commonly fill with water to lower the center of gravity and prevent tip

  10. Matthew_dag on December 9, 2022 at 12:51 am

I think it would make a big difference it it was a 29er with like 2.5 or 2.6 and tubeless because the air volume is so much greater

  11. Big John on December 9, 2022 at 12:55 am

…..and excactly what is the girls job in this experiment? ??

  12. burlak on December 9, 2022 at 12:56 am

One thing is having fun and joking around, but other is wasting a rather big amount of SF6 and putting it into the atmosphere.

    Not cool guys !!!

  13. Big John on December 9, 2022 at 12:59 am

Damn,I always wondered if you filled car tires with hellium…lit looks like really no difference. ..

Take the bike with water in it into a bike shop and be like, “I think there’s something wrong with my bike”

  15. mr captain93 on December 9, 2022 at 1:03 am

Fill the tire with water and then freeze the tire

  16. Thomas Moss on December 9, 2022 at 1:04 am

I’ve accidentally blown up a bike tire before

  17. redneck games on December 9, 2022 at 1:06 am

I have had to do this my bike tire had a slow slow leak so since the crona wouldn’t let me go to the store to buy one I filled it with water and I still am using it

  18. Josh Christian on December 9, 2022 at 1:06 am

They do fill tires with water to make them healthier it’s more for construction and agricultural uses. They make special pumps that spend a set time to fill then switches to a vacuum to take out air and this is always done with the valve stem in the 12 o clock position. Sometimes the valve core is also twice as big

  19. Patrick Gamber on December 9, 2022 at 1:07 am

its common attachment schrader to water hose. we fill our tractor tires with water

    Sulfar Hexa Fluoride

  21. James McKeand on December 9, 2022 at 1:09 am

At higher speed the water wheel would be even more difficult to turn. The gyroscopic forces would be much higher with more mass.

the king of random vids are getting worse day to day

  27. Ender Lord on December 9, 2022 at 1:13 am

This has been done before. The helium will go today real quick cause it compresses allot

  40. Graham Turner on December 9, 2022 at 1:26 am

Maybe you could try riding bicycles with tires that are filled with those materials.

  41. Joseph Perkins on December 9, 2022 at 1:27 am

Anyone else see that the helium bounce went almost as high as Nate’s hand?

  42. Diogenes on December 9, 2022 at 1:27 am

their measurements on the bounce test was waaay off

why didnt they use a camera to check it?

  50. Cade Scarmardo on December 9, 2022 at 1:40 am

Thos connectors are supposed to be able to connect together because most people they put water in their tractor tires if they are lifting something that is a bit too heavy to keep it from tipping over
