I would think that having it as a "brake light" is not that important, as you are going so slow compared to cars that it really doesn’t matter about whether you are braking or not. Instant on is good, and the USB charge is good. Still looks like a neat product, but a bit pricey for a tail light.

  7. Tom on July 9, 2019 at 11:22 pm

Thanks for the excellent video. I bought a light too.

  8. Stillgame60 on July 9, 2019 at 11:23 pm

It will give you a really nice bright light and warning to other traffic once you mount your rack bag lol

  9. Jack Volta on July 9, 2019 at 11:27 pm

I realize this light is designed for a bike, but Im actually a EUC rider and owns 3 unicycles my 1st is the msuper 2 which I fully customised & has lights, my 2nd is the MSX which comes with both front-n-rear lites, but the Tesla has front & side lights but no rear light, I know makes no sence at all but thats what Im trien to find is the perfect light to maximize the safty of the wheel & myself and I believe by drilling a hole the same dia of the inner dimension of the XLite in the outter shell of my Tesla, I could then simple insert the XLite into the cavity like a nail into wood, which would actually be set into the enclosed wheel well of my Tesla which is totally protected from water due to the electronics stored above that, the Xlite looks perfect, But I hear that this light is not available in the U.S. so I’m still searching, but would still like to know the inner diameter of the Xlite so to prep myself for this project I want to accomplish once I find a reputable dealer or once they become available in America any help or suggestions would be appreciated …thank you

Great for the two cyclists that don’t use a saddlebag!

Seriously though, does it come with a seat post mount as well?

  11. Ross Best on July 9, 2019 at 11:30 pm

Jeeeze that thing is small.. I need something a lil bigger. Nice i also cannot mount to my seat because its all the way down… Ineed to find a little different. Nice lil light though.

  12. Hannes Grebin on July 9, 2019 at 11:32 pm

  13. Sorin Tudor Gheorghe on July 9, 2019 at 11:33 pm

  16. pj520 on July 9, 2019 at 11:36 pm

Thanks for the review! Looks like a great light to add to any bike.

  17. Squares on July 9, 2019 at 11:37 pm

I was not sure to buy it because it’s more expensive, but your video convinced me instantly. Nice quality and cool functions!

  18. Roy Rogers on July 9, 2019 at 11:37 pm

13$ on eBay..mine is on its way..thanks for the review.

  19. Tom on July 9, 2019 at 11:39 pm

    excellent video !!!

  20. Jim Clark on July 9, 2019 at 11:42 pm

Got one. Plugged it up to charge and it won’t quit blinking. Doesn’t matter if I have it in Auto or Manual. ??? Nothing in the owners manual about this. Instructions say it takes about two hours to charge.

  21. Cooter Malloy on July 9, 2019 at 11:43 pm

How many lumens is the light in each mode? Or watts?

  22. ricky rice on July 9, 2019 at 11:44 pm

Yeah, it’s coming tomorrow. Oops, sorry I was thinking you had the rip current. Cross current is good huh. That torque sensor much more responsive then the cadence?

  23. etc etc on July 9, 2019 at 11:44 pm

does your keep flashing when you recharging it? nice review btw, bought one based on your review

  24. Gregor Pohl on July 9, 2019 at 11:47 pm

You mounted it 180 degrees upside down. Zipties should be below the rails.

  25. Kawatan Moako on July 9, 2019 at 11:51 pm

how many hours it to be fully charge?

  26. Cosmo John on July 9, 2019 at 11:52 pm

It lights up only when the bike has stopped completely. This means when you Brake, it does not light up. It’s not a brake light. It’s a when-u-have-come-to-a-stop light. It’s not useful at all. More light a vibration sensor

  27. Alonso Martii on July 9, 2019 at 11:52 pm

For group riding is awesome. Not having to have it on all the time but just when brake is activated mostly. 🙂 Are they free to test? LoL

  28. Beakerzor on July 9, 2019 at 11:54 pm

can it be on without flashing or pulsing, and then turn brighter when braking, like a car does?

  29. Malder Fox on July 9, 2019 at 11:54 pm

Please write a link where you can buy such a rear lamp, and tell us more about your lamp that is mounted on the rear of the trunk from the bottom. I would like to see what kind of model, how it shines, in general, the details of the flashlight on the trunk of a bicycle

  30. E on July 9, 2019 at 11:55 pm

    Nice light.
    I bought two.
    Love it.

  31. 이상원 on July 9, 2019 at 11:59 pm

I do not recommend this. Because It does not show under the daylight.

  32. pasquale barbetta on July 9, 2019 at 11:59 pm

    Shop?

  33. Matjus Grek on July 10, 2019 at 12:00 am

i bought it and i love it ,

  34. ScHiZoPhReNi74 on July 10, 2019 at 12:00 am

    great review but….
In your title you are saying you reviewing the XLITE-100, but the link is to Nkomax Smart Bike Tail Light ?
    Are those the same ?

I also wonder if the zip-ties don’t get loose after time (by shocks of riding)

    thanks !

  35. tim rezgalla on July 10, 2019 at 12:02 am

Thanks I’ve just been sold watching this! About time a cheap auto brake light came along, having to press a button on the older ones was useless as in an emergency it would slow you down in all likelihood or you’d just not use it. These look great for the money! (£10 at present). Good video – cheers!

  36. tim rezgalla on July 10, 2019 at 12:02 am

Here’s a link for a very cheap work around for Xl100 owners who want to use it on more than one bike. The bonus is that the main bit off this will go onto the rail mount so both bikes still have lights…66p compared to about £5 on eBay and a bit more on amazon. Its also a cheap way to get button cells 🙂

  37. Andy Lau on July 10, 2019 at 12:03 am

Does braking works in a mode where

    1) light is originally off?
    2) light is on, but dim?
    3) light is flashing/pulsing? YES, as in your video.

    Thanks

  38. Emily Liao on July 10, 2019 at 12:04 am

Love the video so much 🙂

  39. Miata Red on July 10, 2019 at 12:04 am

  42. minus1 on July 10, 2019 at 12:08 am

Hello, what about battery charge amount indication?

  43. Joni English on July 10, 2019 at 12:09 am

good review just picked one up off ebay
note looks like you mounted the bracket upside down !!!
but i think your Seat has lots of padding so you mounted it that way to lower the light position

  44. Antonio Ambrosino on July 10, 2019 at 12:09 am

Finally found the taillight for my time trial bike

  45. Joni English on July 10, 2019 at 12:09 am
