Been meaning to upload this for a while. This is a short video going over my towing setup / toy hauler for my 8thgen Civic LX-S (FA1), R18 engine & 5 Speed Manual Transmission.
My automatic 05 Accord tows my trailer+motorcycle (about 700 pounds) just fine as well. Stays in torque converter lock at top gear even at 80mph (though I keep it to 65 unless the traffic’s too heavy and fast for that to be safe).

Thanks for the video. I have a 2012 civic 5 speed and plan on towing my dual sport with it. This definitely helped π

Hey man if you donβt mind me asking what brand is the trailer and hitch?

I think your car needs a state inspection bro

I have a 2020 Corolla SE with the 6 speed and Iβm thinking of pulling a dual sport around 1000km. Pretty sure my car would be able to do it, either that or riding it all the way there which wouldnβt be fun for me or the bike. thanks for the video.

Thanks for video … just installed a Curt on my 2007 Civic 5 sp. I intended to use it for a bike rack but good to know a trailer can be towed.

So cool i enjoyed it. It;s nice that you can tow a small trailer with a regular car. I have hauled two u-haul trailers and one homedepot one with mine. I drive an 02 pontiac grand prix and it hauls with no problems. and Nice tips on Braking and stuff good to know.π Keep them Coming.

Great video, I had a question. I own a 2009 Civic with 185,000 miles. Still running strong and no problems. How do you keep you rear end of the car from sagging. The reason that I ask is that when I put my two kids in the back seat the rear fender is level with the tire. Do you have some special shocks or coils in the rear? Thanks for the answer.

I own a 2015 Honda Civic Sedan with 110,000 miles on it. Would I be able to haul a trailer carrying a jet ski | snow mobile on it. Do I need any specific installments??

When did you buy your trailer? I had no idea my civic could tow, I was contemplating buying a small truck for camping trips. Now I can avoid that. I was just looking on TS website, your trailer w/o plywood is now about $750 on 20-Feb2021

I’m thinking of towing about 1150 pounds total weight trailer and motorcycle think I should be okay?
Mitch Wowon April 1, 2023 at 8:13 am
Would it hurt the car to drive it about 20 hours away with this kind of a load, there would be 1 or 2 nights where the car would have a chance to cool down)
I want to tow a small motorcylce and trailer (about 700 pounds total) plus a full trunk up to where I go for the summers for work. Only issue is im currently driving a 2008 4.0 mustang (manual) and would rather not buy a truck. I’ve been considering switching to a wrx for easier winter driving, but I can only imagine a car with a turbo and 4 cylinders would have more trouble than a naturally aspirated v6 for a longer haul

Hi there, I just bought a β17 civic manual 2.0. Just wondering what youβre using for trailer wiring? Did you splice in a 4 point connector? It looks like it comes from the trunk. Thanks!

I haul a 11.5ft jetski with my little Chevy Sonic no problem at all. You’d be surprised how much a car can comfortably tow.

Took forever to get to the set up on the car. Talked more about your irrelevant bikes. I didn’t search dirt bikes and some boon who is obsessed and wanted to talk and Bragg about something I didn’t care for. Literally half way in video is what I was looking for. Dislike video next time get to the point
