Discovery park is no question the best. Although only the loop trail is mentioned there is so many other trails to explore. It was formerly an army installation and you can still see signs of that near the south parking lot. As far as elevation gains it has some of the best there is to offer if you’re looking to train for more strenuous hikes in east puget sound.
