2 questions:- "Win" tunnel or "Wind" tunnel? – What is the saving or Watt figure in case the yaw angle is not 0° or the rider lifts or bows his head?

I am sure there is something wrong with this test…

Could you please give info on the difference using the supplied sworks-tt visor makes vs sunglasses?

How about a BMX helmet? They’re pretty solid – no vents, but are they aero?

Could you please do whether aero wheels actually make a difference or not with different angles of yaw? And maybe compare different types like discs vs all the different depths of wheels that roval offer

Would there be a difference in the surface area on a tyre between 90psi and 110 psi

Hi, I just bought a pair of the S-WORKS AERO FLY handlebars and was wondering what the difference time difference between the 40/42/44cm bars and what the most aero way to have them angled is? For example having the leading edge 6 degrees above the trailing edge vs a 0 degree change in leading and trailing edge? I would recommend doing the test on a track bike that what you can remove any variables that would come with shifter/brake placement.

I’m curious to know if eye protection makes a difference in aerodynamics. I normally wear sunglasses, but what’s the aero difference between Oakleys, aviators and no glasses?

Specialized Bicycles what happened to the shiv v venge with aerobars video??? #aeroiseverything

Would have liked to see some MTB helmets too – open-face with visor and full-face – for completeness’ sake, if nothing else.

so basically, your aero helmet is more aero than your standard road helmet. Ground breaking information there!

dear specialized, how much faster is arron gwin in the wind tunnel versus Brent mcmahon, on bikes they would feel most comfortable on..?

  13. Swarton on July 22, 2022 at 12:29 am

A video about your aerofly handlebar would be nice. Ive just bought it and iam pretty curious about its advantage

Please do aero shoe booties for roadies!!! No covers vs covers.

    ebikes vs mtbs0

In a real TT as we dont just ride with our heads and dont spend all the time in the ideal TT position. Below the head the rest of the human body is a larger and more irregular surface area causing far more total air resistance. Personally I will still wear a teardrop TT helmet for a fast flat race, but I just wear a standard helmet for long distance triathlon as the cooling of the head from open air vents is far more important than cooking in a specialised Aero helmet. My point is I would work on body position and getting the head more into the shoulders too and probably get a skin suit first as likely to produce better time savings before spending more on helmets.

Yet another great one guys! The Prevail and Evade are my go-to choices. I have 3 Prevails and 2 Evades, they rock. 🙂

    Road biker problems

  19. BubBleWaRp on July 22, 2022 at 12:36 am

So, basically no vent, lower drag. Is that correct? How about skate/lid style helmet? It has few ventilation, but rounded profile. I guess round is bad for aero since every aero helmet is pointy at the back.

  20. theCrazyChef1 on July 22, 2022 at 12:36 am

I’d love to see the results of no helmet next those stats. No helmet with hair and no helmet bald or shaved.

  21. Maximilian Saßerath on July 22, 2022 at 12:36 am

Is there any aerodynamic difference between the handlebare sizes on a roadbike? #aeroiserverything

  22. Dan Baxter on July 22, 2022 at 12:39 am

Is there any aerodynamic difference when it comes to style of paint i.e. the difference between a gloss or matte finish on helmets or bikes? #aeroiseverything

  23. mikes1984 on July 22, 2022 at 12:40 am

    40s out of 1 hour (40km TT) is 1.1%
    60s is 1.67%

  25. Steve Lee on July 22, 2022 at 12:45 am

how about trying cycling style… something like a comparison between someone who is really smooth on the bike vs. someone who really fights like Thomas Voeckler

  26. bloodsord9 on July 22, 2022 at 12:45 am

Also consider weather and comfort. If it’s hot you’ll do better with vents. If you keep your head down, TT helmet creates more drag then a road helmet. Also keep in mind that these are professionals. Top tier professionals can have a few minute gaps, while people who do this as a hobbie can have hour gaps. 100 seconds wouldn’t save you from an hour gap.

  27. Chris on July 22, 2022 at 12:48 am

Aero helmets are very dependent on the rider.

  28. lHolyDiverl on July 22, 2022 at 12:48 am

Could you please test the difference between this helmets, but simulating different wind direction?
In real life wind can easily change it direction and crosswind could gain a big difference for each tipes of helmets.
