K6 is the only viable option
Xlite/Nolan…..
I have to buy my helmets at the store. It’s nice that there are so many styles out there but for me it’s based solely off what fits. This limits my choices immensely. Took me about a year to find a modular that was comfortable. Bought 2 and I’m good. Good video for those who have options😂😂
I will only wear Arai! Best ever!
Arai ftw
I found the forward vision in a tuck on the AGV was awful when compared to Arai.
Head shape no longer dictates what brand of lid you buy. Formally a Shoei head I’ve found that in recent years Arai and AGV have started to be more comfortable.
Also it would of been nice to show a couple of the lower priced lids. The (almost) bottom of the range HJC then a jump up to Arai, Shoei, and AGV premium lids.
Other than that, great content. Keep it up.
“Affordable” “$500” lol
How is the AFz490 helmit
i’m using NHK Helmet for 9 years….it very heavy and ugly, but cheap.😁
$500… affordable!?… On what planet…???
Get one with an ECE rating and that fits good
X14
I have Scorpion R1
This is one of the best helmet reviews I’ve ever watched. It’s to the point factual and not a sales pitch
There are very few instances where I have the purchasing power to buy the worlds absolute best of something. A motorcycle helmet is one of them.
clearly don’t like the 500$+ price tag i went with scorpion at950 fantastic helmet .
HJC’s RPHA 11 series fits the best for me
Why never testing a helmet in the rain. Almost every helmet gets water on the inside of the vizor when it rains. I had several brands, Arai, AGV, Schubert, Nolan and others. No helmet is "waterproof" and that is a kind of problem.
I bought my first motorcycle at 17 many years ago. The nice old guy who owned the shop saw me looking at a helmet to buy so he came over and told me to spend whatever my Head was Worth….lol…just speaking the truth…
2:07 its the husqvarna svartpilen 701
so Icon and HJC it is 🥰
I like my sedici Strada 2 primo. I think it was about 350 and its Snell rated. Not bad.
Just bought my first helmet, new rider. Went with a full face Sedici Strada2 in carbon fiber. Really like it but have not worn anything else to compare against.
Aria . Tried on the Regent X , and was sold. Comfort and didn’t have to fight with my ears putting on my glasses
Arai the best..
Had Nolan, HJC and now Caberg. All were good but Caberg is the best. It is a Drift Evo model, did a review, can check. 🙂
After over fifty years of buying helmets, this is what I’ve learned. In the store set up three different helmets you may buy. Make sure you fit each helmet with your actual head, with goggles/glasses on – no measurement necessary. Put it on, and take it off, at least five times. Shake your head and lean forward and sideways. Take it off and remember how your head feels – the pressure points. Then remove, and replace, the face shield at least three times. Don’t let the salesperson do this, do it yourself. Then – if you really want to know your helmet – take the inner padding out and put it back in – discover how it works, how it feels, how easy or hard it is to clean and refresh. All of this pre-purchase labour is intensive and the salespeople may not like it but . . . it’s your money, and your head. Then – buy the helmet from the store – support local businesses, don’t buy it on-line.
I like the Shoei GT Air 2
HJC RPHA 70 ST is better, lighter, cheaper, better visor mechanism than Shoei GT-Air II.
I have worn many helmets… Find Arai to be the best…
No matter how many helmets you own there will always be your go to lid, which will be the most comfortable.
The Shoei RF-1400 is only Snell and DOT Certified. It does not carry an ECE 22.05 rating.
Это топ скорее для ездаков на трэк днях, без солнцезащитных очков встроех в шлем так себе идея покупать такой шлем!
I have had several helmets over many years (many Shoei) but by far the best one to date is my current Forcite M1S. Expensive, but an amazing helmet…
Bad ass vid bro ✌🙏👍✊🙏☝👍🤟👊💯
Great vid
Kali do a good lid with great protection if u need it….
The inner crash protection was invented by a crash investigator to minimise head/brain damage.
Comfy and pretty quiet, for my melon……
Check em out
👍🙂
I bought a Shoei back in 2012 that fit me (head) like a glove (pun intended) and it’s definitely NOT the safest style with the whole lid lifting up over my face… but it’s light and comfortable and my riding is modest… but I should upgrade soon…
(He says in the Hope he outlives this post!)
Have you ever tried a Nexx XR2 Helmet? They are awesome and are in a great price point! I love them!
Been chasing a Neotec 2 for 6 months.
mexx xr3r pro
Arai and AGV as I have bothered and recommended both and bell to is good for dirt bike and road 😉😊
I own the Arai Quantum X and Corsair 7, Shoei X14, Shark GP R race, Hjc Rpha 11 naked, Icon air flite Fortune , Agv Pista, R and RR…. the best one for my head I can say is Arai and quietest…. the loudest the Pistas but the lightest Shark GP R race and Hjc Rpha 11.
I went and tried on both the k6 and the 1400 the other day, sadly the 1400 didn’t fit for shi*… the k6 fit amazingly and so i.ordered it in matte black
The agv k6 collarbone friendly sounds good I had an acciden whith a car making a left and the helmet saved me but no my left collarbone just when right trough it with the hard plastic edges, just bought a k1 and now I see this
Klim
Arai/shoei
A correct fitting helmet is much more important than the brand or price.
The K6 didn’t beat the Shoei because they aren’t even in the same league! AGV’s are cookie cut in China and only have a 1 year warranty(meaning, AGV doesn’t even stand behind their own product) not to mention awful customer service. Shoei, hand-made in Japan perfect fit and finish with a 5 year warranty and excellent customer service. No brainer(for adults).
