What do you think of cheap MTBs?

  3. Randolph Pinkle on August 14, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Dude, cheap far too often means ‘of poor quality.’ Don’t bandy your words like a profligate bike snob. The Stoic 4 surely isn’t that.

  4. ribtec 535 on August 14, 2022 at 11:57 pm

er don’t give up the day job, my calibre hardtail was £300 shop soiled from Go Outdoors, i keep up with poor riders on more expensive bikes no problem, featuring a £1700 bike with upgrades with this video title is a bit lame.

  5. Reece Powell on August 14, 2022 at 11:58 pm

£300 for my second hand 2020 specialized hardtail👌👌👌

My first proper mountain bike is actually a nice full suspension XC Bike, given from my friend who sold me a quarter of the price which is so nice! But now I also want a nice budget hardtail because I want to try them both

  13. Dr. Rose The Perfume Lady on August 15, 2022 at 12:06 am

How about 20 reasons not to buy a cheap
    bike?

  14. Y1AN1 on August 15, 2022 at 12:07 am

Great video! 5 years ago I bought a voodoo hoodoo new just as a stop gap, 4 years ago bought a voodoo zobop cos I was so impressed with the hoodoo. Upgraded them both and still riding them both years later. Fun factor on both bikes is high abd I give no thoughts to where or how I ride them cos I don’t need to worry.

  25. Michael Ozark on August 15, 2022 at 12:24 am

Yea SRAM eagle and rockshox pike, seems like a budget bike…

  26. nueschi on August 15, 2022 at 12:24 am

Totally agree. Hardtails are a great option for less money. And most people don’t need a full suspension bike, except for their ego and to show off. The same goes with carbon fibre frames.

  27. Hans Lidlwagen on August 15, 2022 at 12:25 am

And here I am thinking my £300 Toseek Roadster 29" hardtail is expensive

Your 1700 pound bike is considered very expensive in my country considering to our small currency, with that price I can get a new motorcycle with 150cc lol

    "Cheap", right.

  39. Horus Garcia on August 15, 2022 at 12:36 am

I like it how they bring out hardtails and cheaper bikes to catch the young MTB market, then they always say they have way better bikes. Any rider starts off with something cheap. Even the Bottom end bikes from the shop are considered cheap after you skills progress. The deal is that, once you upgrade or adapt to luxury, its kind of hard to come back. The more you ride the more you don’t want to fix a bike. You will do it as a hobby but not really to increase your performance. If some high end hardtails cost as much as a full suspension, then a full suspension is a better buy. I loved my cheap bikes because I didn’t care about them, however, I am more likely to replace than improve them. I practically gave away my cheap bikes because I needed room in the shed. Thanks for the video.
