  3. Ron Laduke on July 30, 2022 at 12:18 am

Those aren’t bumps or ruts they’re potholes.

All the best places to ride on Salisbury plain are out of bounds 🚩⛔️😭😤⛰🛵💨

  5. Xander Hurley on July 30, 2022 at 12:21 am

I am not sure if it’s not already mentioned but you can get anti vibration damper from quad lock now

  6. carl wodz on July 30, 2022 at 12:23 am

  11. Nobody's Hero on July 30, 2022 at 12:28 am

Always worth putting a bit of wood between the tyre and top of the front mudguard to protect the spring. Makes it way more secure as well. Shame the bike is gone now. I always remember that awful air box mod you did.

  12. Ellis Thomas on July 30, 2022 at 12:31 am

That bar going across the garage door is genius I had no idea they existed. Anyone able to tell me what it’s called? Would love to get one (will require a garage first)

  13. Vivek Singh on July 30, 2022 at 12:32 am

If you need a dirt bike for such roads, then everyone should own a dirt bike in India😂

  14. G Kk on July 30, 2022 at 12:32 am

    great vid.
regarding @Quadlock now they have in stock vibration mount which is the solution for damaging cameras

  15. trashermoto on July 30, 2022 at 12:34 am

    Thetfords better than that 😂

  16. Rob Wells 119 on July 30, 2022 at 12:35 am

You were correct first time with Upavon.

If you can get across during Easter or at Christmas time, there is access to the village of Imber that the MOD made the residents evacuate during WW2.

#edit I commented too soon! Church services at Imber are at Easter and Christmas, with a few days either side for families to tend to graves.

Another great video have you done a review of the motorcycle trailer you used in this video I believe it’s collapsible

  19. WSS on July 30, 2022 at 12:37 am

Missed alot by being on the roads, there’s so much to ride off the roads

  20. Ian Futcher on July 30, 2022 at 12:37 am

I seem to remember that it was the TRF who signposted the Salisbury Plain because they were non existent a few years back and some riders were unsure of the legal trails – not good idea to go off track due to unexploded ammunition etc. Ruts 😂

  21. Mickthemaverick on July 30, 2022 at 12:38 am

I waited till I’d seen both parts of a Grand Day Out to ask, but have you been watching Allen Millyard’s riding videos too much? I don’t remember seeing you do so many static camera ride by shots before if you exclude car park engine sounds! I think it might pay to apply for the civilian authoritys before you go again to open up a lot more tracks. Have to say as an ex rally driver it might have been fun to unhitch the trailer and check out the "Brummy wagon"’s off road ability with a quick blast!!

  22. My 2 Cents on July 30, 2022 at 12:38 am

Maybe some folks are easily entertained.
Riding’s always fun, but straight and wide, not as much as narrow and twisty.

  23. manicrymes on July 30, 2022 at 12:39 am

Love You Flyer but those aren’t trails they’re dirt roads. Looks like a nice place but if You really wanna see some trails come out to Vegas and we will show You around.

  24. Robert banks on July 30, 2022 at 12:42 am

Where did you get the Security pole from?

  25. M Amb on July 30, 2022 at 12:44 am

I live in Upavon near to where you started that video. There are miles of trails around the ‘fire roads’ which you used that get as technical as you like. Such an amazing area for trail riding.

  26. Jon Pram on July 30, 2022 at 12:44 am

Great entry level road and loads of it by the look, also awesome to see some more of your famed English countryside!

Also big +1 on the cameras getting broken by vibrations – in another life I was one of those Genius Bar monkeys and we saw that all the time. It’s not just motorcycles, but also bicycles. Most people by 2020 have an old phone, I recommend using that on your bars rather than your pride and joy. Not sure why they had to replace the phone though. Maybe their phones have gotten even more unrepairable, but it doesn’t seem to me the internals have really changed too much in design from when I was doing the repairs and at least up until 2015 they could replace the camera module. Whole phones were just if you damaged the back outer casing/camera window (that’s on a 5 or later, 4’s were built the other way round), liquid damage or really did some major damage (saw a few phones come back from Afghanistan a little worse for wear!). But yeah my advice would be if anyone gets the same issue and gets told they have to replace the whole phone to push back a little. It could have changed, but at the same time training for people actually interacting with you at the Genius Bar isn’t the best and they have a lot of targets to meet.

  27. Motoeuro on July 30, 2022 at 12:45 am

Err… Supported by Bennetts but the FMF Q4 is not road legal????? Or is it just me?

  28. Tom Hunter on July 30, 2022 at 12:45 am

Welcome to my ‘back yard’ – I am in the next village down the Avon valley. Actually, the Plain is not that busy with bikers, tbh there are a lot of dog walkers and cyclists around most of the time, especially to the east of this area, so one has to be careful and vigilant. But I would recommend the local roads around this area for biking, they are quiet, twisty and offer fantastic views. Take a loop down from Devizes, past the Stonehenge Visitor Centre, towards Salisbury and you will have great fun. But don’t tell anyone, this is our little secret….

  29. Simon on July 30, 2022 at 12:46 am

7.12 should try the track to the left , had many of fun times in there , on and off the bike 🤣🙈

  30. Keith Lee on July 30, 2022 at 12:50 am

Yep right first time "Up Avon" is how it is said 😉

  31. Peter Murray on July 30, 2022 at 12:52 am

Lol lots here slagging this route off but this is basically the perimeter road..there is proper trails if you know where to look.
Where exactly did you start off cos I’m considering riding my can am ryker rallye there cos i only live 2 miles from the Salisbury plains myself?

  32. Chiéf Chips on July 30, 2022 at 12:52 am

Agreed with the Quadlock had the same issue with the iphone11 on the s1000xr and the bandit 1200 done 2 phones in 🤦🏻‍♂️ so as you have done now got an iPhone 6 mounted on the bike and an 11 for using 👍🏻👍🏻

  33. Gemma on July 30, 2022 at 12:53 am

Hi – have you tried the the vibration damper adapter for the quad lock? I bought one thinking that would prevent camera issues. Not tried it yet.

  34. Graeme Dugdale on July 30, 2022 at 12:53 am

Kid Ora from down under, looked at mapfinder downloads but redirected to OSmaps app instead. Just an FYI

Hi Flyer. Did you get a “What Three Words” reference for your parking/start point?

  40. Peter Murray on July 30, 2022 at 1:01 am

Have you tried the TET route ?

  41. Tosh White on July 30, 2022 at 1:03 am

    CRF250 L PL14GUF
    KTM SXF 250 WM61LDU
Wiltshire area. Please reply to this comment if you see them or are approached to buy. Thank you

  42. BobCat 70r on July 30, 2022 at 1:04 am

Great to see you giving the CRF some ‘love’ once again Andy 👍
I also use a similar OS mapping App……but do you also know if you’ve got a USB power feed to your iPhone, which I presume you do…..go into settings, then ‘Display and Brightness’…..then click on ‘Auto Lock’, click ‘Never’……’re mapping app will be constantly displayed so you don’t have to stop to open it at every junction if you’re unsure of you’re direction 😉👍
You mentioned the Peak District having good lanes……better get yourself up here sharpish if you ever want to give them a try…..whilst we’ve still got the few we have left to ride 🙄

  43. Iain Murray on July 30, 2022 at 1:05 am

Do you have the What3Words address for the start point?

  44. Ian Hughes on July 30, 2022 at 1:06 am

I thoroughly enjoy your videos, slightly off topic, but your videos went a long way in helping me with my decision to buy an Enfield Interceptor 650 (Honour Blackone). Now you are doing the same regarding my quest for a little “Traily” to use on roads and in weather conditions I wouldn’t take my Interceptor. Back in the day I had a couple of Yamaha DT175’s , and went all over on them, in all weathers. They were great in the snow ! The little CRF250L just looks a fun bike. I record all my rides, uploading to YT, mainly for my wife and I to enjoy, but make them public in case anyone else wants to watch. I think, living here on the North Lancashire/Cumbria border, I am ideally placed to have fun exploring places I wouldn’t normally go, and produce some (hopefully) entertaining videos in the process. I am currently looking at a 2015 CRF250L. Fingers crossed the deal comes good. Thanks Andy, I for one, appreciate all you do !

  45. o3nixey on July 30, 2022 at 1:06 am

You can follow the wessex ridgeway for miles highly recomend its a good day out

  46. LEGIT LONDON on July 30, 2022 at 1:10 am

Literally, my favorite place to go off-roading on bikes. The other thing is even on a relatively mild day, you feel the heat so much more over there, no idea why. Cant wait to go back!

  47. Ktm690enduroadventures on July 30, 2022 at 1:10 am

    I used my iPhone on a quad lock,vibrations killed the camera…. £60 fix 🤦🏻‍♂️

  48. Two Wheeled Adventures UK on July 30, 2022 at 1:11 am

Not been on my CRF450L but it looks pretty dull, Thetford forest is a real blast, sandy and lots of fun, hardly any bits like the plains gravel super-highways (I was in the army, know it well) Come up and do the Peddars Way, quite simple for a beginner like yourself and there are bits you can get ya drone out! We can even start at Crazy Horse and have some grub before we go. Cheers for the vid Andy.

  49. Martin Cooke on July 30, 2022 at 1:11 am

Why do you ride straight over all the pot holes? It is permissible to go round them 🙂
