Osprey Momentum 34 – A REVIEW (BEST for commuting)

Osprey Momentum 34 – A REVIEW (BEST for commuting)

I have been looking for a while to find this PERFECT commuter backpack. Works great for bike, car, subway, bus, train, airplane, etc. Lots of storage room, expandable, durable, adjustable and above all, very comfortable. Don’t forget Ospreys Almighty Guarantee! Also, note that other versions of the bag are slightly different.

Check it out! You’ll like it

There are even some features I forgot to point out in this long review, such as the water resistant zipper of the laptop compartment, and others.

When I saw this video about 4 years ago, I completely fell in love with this backpack. Soon I will upload a review of this year’s model!

Is there any possibility to buy this generation of Momentum pack? (which is already discontinued and was replaced by newer version) …Anyone has any tips?…

  10. Nadine Nicolaisen on July 3, 2019 at 10:26 pm

Wow! This is THE perfect pack for biking. I am so sad I only didcovered this now, because the new version is missing so many of the awesome features this on had (and even beimg smaller)…

I bought this in late 2011 and used it every day. The only wear is on the bottom of the pad in the back that rubs against my belt when I walk. Everything else about this pack is like new and it has been six years of daily use! I take it to work everyday. I also travel for work with just this pack with laptop, chargers, clothes, and an extra pair of shoes! When I travel, I expand the pack and use an Eagle PackIT folder for my clothes. I pack low-profile knit sneakers on the insides of the main compartment and go.

Lately I started eyeing other packs because I was bored of this one I guess. Your video really helped me see this pack with enthusiasm again. So thank you for this video.

My wife and I are leaving for a 11 day trip soon to a big city, then a national park and I am packing this pack with an extra day-pack, two jackets, chacos, power bank, camera, etc.

I highly recommend this pack to anyone who wants a lifetime pack.

to be honest, I don’t want to put a water bottle inside the main compartment…

  21. Arialdi Farhan on July 3, 2019 at 10:38 pm

waw so sad this version is discontinue, i was hunt this type and find momentum 32 that quite different than yours, no wonder it has quite different point in this and that

that 32 version is nice, has 2 main compartment (can put shoes or dirty clothes) but not expandable

now im in between to hit that 32 version or your version @_@

  22. Yazan Abbas on July 3, 2019 at 10:38 pm

Thanks for the video. I’m looking for a backpack that I will primarily use for commuting, and occasionally for travel and hiking. Do you think it would be comfortable for 12+ hour day hikes? Also, can it handle sweaty, several hour long bike rides? Can you wash it? I should add: for me it’s between this and the deuter giga 28l backpack.

  23. bobby sue jabat on July 3, 2019 at 10:40 pm

if you buy the pack from a store like rei dose osprey still do the replacement because rei only has 1 year on products

  27. ben berlaud on July 3, 2019 at 10:46 pm

the new momentum is poor now, no more pocket one the front … .. which one do you choose for comuting ?

  28. Meclan Dorgan on July 3, 2019 at 10:50 pm

good review but you should check where your putting your bike. The rack you used could easily be cut without having to bother with the lock.

  29. My beautiful and amazing Princess on July 3, 2019 at 10:51 pm

I would use those front pockets on the shoulder straps to put my ipod in it and snacks in the other one

This was in my opinion the best cycling backpack of all time – wish Osprey would bring this back. Everything else just is not great.

One of the most outstanding reviews that I have ever seen. The pack seems to have everything. Loved the way you cycled in, locked the bike and did a practical review. Hope this pack is still available.
