#AskGmbn What rear shox do you recommend on a 2015 Polygon Siskiu D6? having plans to replace the stock one on it
I wear a full face helmet everywhere that I go on my hard tail – simply because It offers more protection.
I ride a fox proframe FULL TIME. For xc riding and trails. Love it.
#AskGMBN I’m riding a hardtail mtb and I can’t wheelie for a long time.. Any tips how to improve my wheelie skills?
I am a downhill hardtail rider and I run unclipped ๐๐๐ผ

Do you buy a Downhill bike or an enduro bike?
#askGMBN I am riding orbea hardtail and I am not riding some agressive offroad and I am considering buying a full face helmet. I am not new at mountain biking, but I am not a pro. So should I get a full face helmet or not? I am not a downhill racer, but I might start more agressive offroad and downhill. Please help!

so i have a 29er xc hardtail ( https://www.bulls-bikes.com/produkt/bulls-kingcobradisc29-582-15041?sku=582-15141_ZEG) and i have 5 questions
1. How does a 29 to 27.5+ conversion change the ride feeling? (im 172cm and i got the wrong bike (i wanted the 27.5 version but it got mixed up and i first didnt realise it haha))
2. How can i check if it is possible to convert my bike?
3. How much does a conversion cost? (im 16 and im not going to spend like 1000โฌ on a wheel set)
4. what do i need to buy new? (hub cassette ….)
5. How can i make my bike more agressive without spending to much money? (stem, one by, …)
Too_es
I was downhilling today and I fell and if it wasnโt for my moto cross full face helmet Iโd probably be in the hospital with no face.
sorry the best up hill
I think from memory the Bell super dh and giro switchblade blade have full dh certificarions. Possibly some misinformation there.
#AskGMBN Hi! What do you think about the new Scott Ransom 930? Do you think it can handle big jumps and downhill?
Giro switch blade is a great helmet
#AskGMBN dose Blake know he is in the first dirt shed show
@ I’ve been looking to spend between $1500 and $2000 on a new bike, mainly the Trek Roscoe 8 and the specialized Stumpjumper ST, and i don’t know if I should get a really nice hardtail or a cheaper full suspension. What do you think I should get?
I like that jerrycan in the back far left, is it german design?
#AskGMBN hi guys. I have an Scott aspect 750 And I want to know if it is a good starter bike. I would like to have a full suspension enduro or dh bike but I donโt have too much money. Should I modify the 750 or buy another one? There are not too much trails in my country, but there are some that are very good. I just start on this world and I would like some help
I’d like to put in a plug for convertible helmets. I bought a Bell Super DH MIPS which does pass the DH rating testing with the chin bar installed. It’s incredibly comfortable and has some great features. I love having that optional chin bar strapped on my pack when things are looking dicey.
#askgmbn. I have recently took the plunge and bought some Shimano Saint flat pedals and a pair of Five Ten Freerider shoes. When I ride using the flat pedals I currently done feel like I have any control over the bike. My hands go numb and my feet start to hurt as well. I have a Boardman FS Team (2014). I have recently change the original 700mm Bar and 70mm stem to a 760mm Sam Hill signature bar and a 60mm Funn Funnduro stem. I have spent sometime getting the bar in the correct position so my hands don’t go numb. I have used clipless pedals for over 20 years. I don’t think I have a vice like grip when using flat pedals. I feel it could be that I’m putting too much weigh over the bars and on to the pedals. If I am right in thinking this is there anything I could try. The ride I tried using my flat pedals was quite flat and short.
In regards to the helmet question, I was in the same position and I went with a fox proframe. I am very happy with my choice, super breathable and comfortable enough for a full day of pedalling while being safe enough for a full day of downhill.
#askgmbn Im starting off kinda new i know some tricks and how to jump i have a retro downhill bike with full suspension but its about to bite the dust what bike should i buy im an american and have a budget to $400-$500 what bike should i get any suggestions? It can be a hardtail

#AskGMBN Hi guys, could you please help me find what geometry my bike has? It’s a 2011 Trek Hi-Fi Plus.

#askGMBN Can you explain why Brendog was robbed?
Jess helped me after a crash in stage 4 or 5 of the BCBR 2 years ago and offered to right out the stage with me, absolute legend! thanks Jess!
#askgmbn I am 6’7 and am interested in a 29+ bike that is in a XXL do you have any recommendations?
How do carbon full sus bikes that dont have rear pivots work?
#AskGMBN Hey guys I have learnt so much from your channel big hats off. I am looking at upgrading from my 15yr old Avanti Hammer Pro which has served me very well. I am 177cm and around the 100kg mark. I am looking at either the 2019 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp or the 2019 Trek fuel Ex 8 as both have very similar specs and are available in my local stores not sure which way to go. The second dilemma is, is it worth spending the extra to move up to either the 2019 Specilized Stumpjumper Comp Carbon or the 2019 Trek fuel Ex 9.8 as they to have very similar specs. I am just worried about the Carbon actually getting damaged with my amazing and constant crashing technique. Any help would be greatly appreciated. #AskGMBN
#AskGMBN #AskGMBNTech I’m riding downhill since 3 years now and im going search a new bike! My question is: Is the reach really that important? there are so nice looking bikes with a short reach! I’m used to bikes with a reach above 480mm! Would be nice if you could answer it! ps. love the channel!
#AskGMBN I’m 5ft 6inch yet I ride a calibre bossnut in a large frame I find it great to ride feels like I cruise down trails a lot better. Should i be riding a smaller frame for a better ride?
Off topic… But does Jess have a split tongue?
hey guys just got a new titan bike the gears are okay, what gear would you say is best.by the way the gears are 1-7 and 1-3
#AskGMBN I am looking to upgrade from my current Intense Tracer 27.5 to a YT Jeffsy Al Base, I am switching bikes since I am 6’2 and my Intense is a medium frame and is much too small. Should I get a large frame for the YT or an xl frame? I fit in either category since there is an overlap and I am in the middle.
Would you still ride a 26โ๐
#AskGMBN
Should I get a top of the line hard tail or a low end fs
#AskGMBN Hello gmbn, love the channel. I am looking for a 120mm fork for a straight steerer tube and 26"wheels on a budget any suggestion??
#askgmbn is a 2019 giant talon 3 a good beginner and intermediate mountain bike
Completely agree with you both there about having 2 helmets, A helmet that tries to do both is never going to be as good as one specific for each style of riding.
I like GMBN.
But I have extended my fork…travel..and shortened the plastic piece that makes the fork stiffer..yeah…and blown my oil rebound thing…before extension…
#AskGMBN Can you make your rear shock to propel your jump higher? Or is it enitirely for gripping ang absorbing shock from drops?
i met a dude who’s wife wouldn’t ride much anymore because she broke her face in multiple places on walnut trails here in austin. ๐ she broke her jaw, her cheek, lost teeth, etc … it was bad… so… grace on your face y’all. ๐ also i would say learn how to bail too before you hit the crazy downhill stuff… especially if you ride a short hardtail with not so great front shocks and are doing tricky slippery stuff… having your front tire get caught going downhill and everything else -including yourself- going over it is not fun. ha!… and personally, i would never clip in – does not feel safe to me at all! i’d rather scrape my shins and ankles to the bone than get stuck on a bike and being able to bail on a big jump, or on a gravel wash, or into a tree ha anyway
I really miss Jess….
#AskGMBN Hi guys what do you think would be a good dirt jumper I’m thinking of getting a Scott voltage for my birthday but I don’t know what to get what do you guys think
