Mine have a carbon reinforced sole. The MTB version could be different but I doubt it. Maybe you need some old car inner tube. LandRover size I’m thinking. My socks come up over the top of mine. There is no way I could zip my Bib tight bottoms up over the top of the cuff. I do love my pair.

For yrs I ran my cleats in the mid travel of the two slots, ie under the ball of my foot. but after watching gmbn I now do the same as you. I feel that with cleat further back it’s so much better. I can’t put mu finger on why it’s just better for me.
I’m loving my NW rebels, they are wider than most makes. Thinking about waterproof shoes. Those look nice. Thanks for the review/unboxing.

Hi Jason. I have a very old pair of NW Arctics bought from Evans in Waterloo Cut around 2001. They were old stock reduced even back then. I paid about 80 quid there abouts. They are neither warm or waterproof. However they have lasted the test of time and I’m still using them today. Had to glue the toe recently but that’s the only repairs they’ve had. Look a bit like something Boy George has thrown out long ago but who cares! 🙂

How is the fit compared to other shoes ???

Got these, but not arctic. Really comfy. Nice colour. If I upgrade, I’ll go to the arctics as well. Good for wider feet too!
