Hi, I have a trek 3500 with 26" wheels, I want to change to a road bike, will I notice a difference  when peddling on a 26"  Bontrager tyre compared to a Trek 1.1 Bontrager T1, 700x25c tyre?  I need to do 60 miles, the most I have done is 34 on my mountain bike and that was hard.

It would have been helpful to tell us what the actual name of each tire was.

isnt the more knobby ones more of a semi slick for on off road or gravel? if you have dirt on the road it seems a bit excessive

i have a mountain bike with a fat tire (not monstrously fat like those 4 or 5 inch width beasts) but with a bad warp on wheel.. after i fix the warp, i’ll replace the tire for better use on pavement…
I have question with this: it’s a commuter bicycle, but my riding is quite aggressive (per mountain biker).. going up/down the curbs, leaning hard, grasses and gravel on side walk, etc…
does having thinner tires affect me? like do i have to watch out for how much i lean, how aggressive i can go up and down, etc? thanks

whats the price of a 29×3.2 tyre, last time I payed 30 $ each

  10. Angelito Miguel Batang on July 13, 2019 at 12:12 am

whats the brand of the last tyre? and name of the tyre

  11. lynnsbomb on July 13, 2019 at 12:13 am

not trying to be an ass but if your looking at that price range you’d be better off buying a used bike thats a decent quality or else you’ll only be getting a huffy or a murray or some garbage style bike like that at wallyworld or some other cheapo store. for a 1/2 decent quality bike your looking at around 600$ and for a good quality about 2g and psycho quality 4,000 american buckeroos.

I hate wire beads, did I mention I hate wire beads. I had a flat on my front tire on a Sunday morning, wanting to ride before church. Even with the proper tools to remove my tire the tools just kept breaking. I had to use screw drivers which was not the best idea. Did leave some small scratches. I will let the bike shop remove the back tire when the time comes, but I hope I do not get a flat on the back tire. By the way, I hate wire beads.

I got like the worlds cheapest mountain bike because I thought a road bike would blow spokes earlier. It is a super cycle 1800. I had an almost impossible time riding it, since it is so heavy, until I tried like the thinnest of those tires, because the old ones wore out, and now I can stand it.
