Are you searching for a comfortable bike saddle (seat) to alleviate pressure or pain while riding? Check out the review of the Specialized Power Pro Mirror saddle.

This is the most comfortable bike saddle (seat) I’ve ever used. That’s quite a way to start a review, but, in my 27 years of riding bikes from road to mountain, I can safely say, this is the pinnacle of bike saddle comfort. Specialized is not new to the body ergonomics space, in fact they’ve invested heavily in designing products from shoes to chamois, to saddles that are mapped to work with the human form. In fact, it started back in 1997 when Specialized developed their Body Geometry department to help solve erectile dysfunction issues. Since then, their Body Geometry or BG wing has grown, added Specialized’s cutting edge Retul technology and now, Mirror Technology to their offerings.

THE LAB
What is Mirror Tech? Specialized uses a 3D printed EPU matrix with variable density to conform and mold to your body in any direction. While many saddles us a single-density foam, Mirror-equipped saddles have the ability to be infinitely dense thanks to the application of this material. It performs similar to rubber and has a nice rebound property to it.

By taking the BG and Retul data, heat maps and pressure points of how riders sit on their saddles, Specialized has been able to print this matrix in a way that’s supportive across a wider area of the sit bones without constriction of hot spots. It’s sort of like a bottomless hammock.

Available in either a 143 or 155 width, the Specialized Power Pro Mirror saddle can accommodate a variety of sized riders.

Price: $325
Weight: 245g

I really like my Tioga Stratum undercover

  2. Marc Vac on March 19, 2023 at 7:16 am

I chatted with Competitive Cyclist and they said they can not honor the discount code for this. Makes no sense to me that you would do a f*cking video about this and say there is a discount when there is not. WTF?!!!! I’ll never buy from those jackasses again…

  3. Chris M on March 19, 2023 at 7:18 am

I bet I could make a more comfortable saddle out of 400 literal dollar bills. That’s the only way I’m paying that for a saddle.

  4. FIDEL GONZALEZ on March 19, 2023 at 7:18 am

    That’s a ridiculous price point.

  5. speckdratz on March 19, 2023 at 7:18 am

1:50 in… this is not a review, but an ad read.

  6. HUKIT on March 19, 2023 at 7:19 am

    $325-$425🤣🤣🤣

  7. moonmuscle333 on March 19, 2023 at 7:22 am

    Selle SMP F30

  8. b-rock on March 19, 2023 at 7:25 am

The price makes hope the terrorists win. Ridiculous.

  9. Robb Williams on March 19, 2023 at 7:25 am

How much?! Umm… I stopped watching after I saw the price. Come on man, when are channels gonna realize who their audience really is?

  10. RustyCoping on March 19, 2023 at 7:26 am

It better be amazing! Its 300 fucking pounds!

  11. PlaneandSimple on March 19, 2023 at 7:27 am

I don’t care if that thing is made out of boobies, nothing can justify $325 for a bike seat.

  12. skinny on March 19, 2023 at 7:28 am

wtb volt titanium medium…same width is 204 grams…its comfy and $128.

  13. Proteo on March 19, 2023 at 7:29 am

Thanks but no, thanks. No amount of plushness would make me spend more than $400 in a bike seat. You can buy an entire (cheap, for sure) bike for that amount of money and give it away to someone who can’t afford it. The world is going nuts, really.

  14. Myron Labat on March 19, 2023 at 7:29 am

Saddle is comfortable true enough but I’ve seen some deform (compress). Too much $$ for something that lacks durability.

  15. CYCOpath Australia on March 19, 2023 at 7:30 am

At AUD$690 this saddle is hardly likely to be something people are going to purchase with the uncertainty of whether it actually is comfortable or not.

  16. Colin Gardiner on March 19, 2023 at 7:30 am

Wouldn’t you get a wet backside in the wet? I’m in Scotland and my saddles underside is always covered at end of a ride. Think the honeycomb would let a lot of crud through.

  17. HelplmAlive on March 19, 2023 at 7:31 am

A saddle for dentists. I’ll stick with my Sq Lab 611.

  18. JBen on March 19, 2023 at 7:32 am

Come on…. We all need to boycott MTB industry. 400$ .. Ridiculous

  19. Todd Kovalcik on March 19, 2023 at 7:33 am

Do they realize that this is just a seat? Good luck selling any of these.

  20. J B on March 19, 2023 at 7:34 am

$150-200 would be on the high end for a saddle but $325? That’s over the top.

  21. WalrusInAnus on March 19, 2023 at 7:35 am

    Specialized? More like most overpriced…

  22. Chris H on March 19, 2023 at 7:39 am

Comfortable? Is that all at that price? Just merely comfortable? For that money it should be winning races for me as well. Come on!

  23. Excel Auto Detailing, Ceramic Coating & Clear Bra on March 19, 2023 at 7:41 am

Damnit I just bought the Ergon E MTB saddle. Now I’m a sucker for this

  24. Cheddy_Chedderson_Cheddouard on March 19, 2023 at 7:42 am

    what a joke saddle

  25. William Clay on March 19, 2023 at 7:47 am

    insane rip-off

  26. Pat Hoffman on March 19, 2023 at 7:47 am

I love the idea of this saddle, but it is still a little cost prohibitive. I am currently running the Ergon SM E-Mountain Pro. This saddle has been great, and with the higher ramp on the rear, makes climbing more comfortable than others I have tried. I have this on my Orbea Rise M20.

  27. Colt 45 on March 19, 2023 at 7:48 am

I’ve been blown away by my DVO saddle and I’ve tried a lot

  28. BackpackingChris on March 19, 2023 at 7:50 am

    How much is it

  29. ZenoGy on March 19, 2023 at 7:52 am

Disgustlingly greedy price point for a butt-ugly saddle .

  30. Trail Pimp on March 19, 2023 at 7:52 am

I have been using the power saddle for ten years and love it. I just use the power comp it has the carbon shell but is on like $120

  31. Justin Gregoire on March 19, 2023 at 7:53 am

I was excited until I saw the price! 🤯

  32. Excel Auto Detailing, Ceramic Coating & Clear Bra on March 19, 2023 at 7:54 am

After reading some comments it’s interesting what amount of money people are not willing to spend on keeping their groin area safe from saddle abuse. I just bought a Levo thanks to you guys. Also because I wanted to relieve the stress of having to hammer in the saddle to get up the mountain, when all I really care about is standing up and hammering down mountains. Bottom line though is this that this saddle is pretty ridiculously priced. I’m sure it required a lot of r&d just like most things MTB but at that price is Specialized doing the riders a favor? Or are the riders doing the big brand a favor? A more win/win price point would be more respectable

  33. Marc Vac on March 19, 2023 at 7:58 am

Hey man – I tried to buy one from competitive cyclist and applied your promo code but it doesnt work. Says not eligible for discount. What the heck?! Super weaksauce!

  34. NoBrakes23 on March 19, 2023 at 8:01 am

I’ve enjoyed WTB Volts for short rides and Brooks Cambium for all day rides. That Brooks isn’t always bike park friendly though. Been eyeballing this family of saddles for a while.

  35. Mark Dohmeier on March 19, 2023 at 8:01 am

WTB Rocket V has been my go to for years.

  36. Thim on March 19, 2023 at 8:03 am

Might have to check one out, love my levo and enduro. I measured sit bones, I would try out the 155.

  37. John DeF on March 19, 2023 at 8:03 am

Ive had 2 body geometry Specialized saddles. Not any different from any other saddles Ive used.

  38. Ryan on March 19, 2023 at 8:03 am

You can get a specialized power comp for like $125. I have them on all my bikes and I love it

  39. nuke recoil on March 19, 2023 at 8:04 am

    Selle Italia SLR $99 ftw

  40. Matus Vido on March 19, 2023 at 8:05 am

I will stick with Selle SMP TRK Gel for 70€, no other seat is as comfy.

  41. Ray J on March 19, 2023 at 8:06 am

I payed 400.00 for my first mountain bike back in the day, but this saddle looks interesting.

  42. Sgtcurry on March 19, 2023 at 8:06 am

Probably better off spending 200 to get a professional bike fitting and 100-150 on the right saddle then buy this.

  43. blurglide on March 19, 2023 at 8:07 am

Durability must be great with no leather to rip…but $400!? Holy crap!

  44. Therestechchunkinmysick on March 19, 2023 at 8:08 am

I got a version of this on a Diverge. Its absolutely not the most comfortable bike seat. I had to change it because it was so god damned uncomfortable.

  45. A. G. on March 19, 2023 at 8:10 am

    Probably amazing 😶
Where is poor man edition 😅
