Do you have a video of the folding and unfolding process and showing how small it is when folded?
"Is that a folding bike?" Yes, yes it is π
Awsome vid.
How much and can I get it in the uk?
The bike was so quiet. I did not hear the engine struggling as you went uphill. I guess because it doesnβt have shocks is what makes it so light which for older people makes it easier to put in back of a car. I believe that frame is made in Taiwan where Iβve heard they make quality bikes. Another great review with great sights as a bonus.
I’ve built 3 DIY e-bikes, (2 front hub, 1 mid-drive with Luna’s Cyclone 3000w kit, 52 volt) and seen and followed tons of Youtube reviews of all the bike Shreadder mentions (which are all significant players (especially the Super73’s and Aventon offerings (all hub motors, all at least 60-65 lbs.) I know this is an old video, but with the ebike market boom really in high gear, and eith bikes like the $1,000 65lbs Lectric XP and $2,700 85 lbs Ariel Grizzly the hot bikes, this "old" 43lbs $1,800 Luna Folding bike is the really the current sleeper. In fact, it is asleep (Luna’s out of stock. Hopefully they haven’t discontinued!). The quality mentioned is in large part to Luna’s doing (modifying their BBS02 with better controller mosfets to help correct some of the weaker points of the BBS02, plus Luna’s habit of using quality parts. The value and performance of Luna Folding is still the best even now (plus, it’s easier to load into vehicle). If I got one, I’d add some Mobile 1 grease to gearbox, and get a suspension seat post and Selle Royal Drifter saddle, fenders, better tires, panniers, better lighting, and Mr Tuffy tire liners. As a DIY’er I’d buy or build a second battery pack and mount on rear for longer rides (connected in parallel). THis thing can climb hills, reach 30-35 mph, and do fire roads (i.e.great for campers, commuters, everything).(does everthing Lectric XP and Grizzly can do, but with 30-40 lbs less weight. Better yet, get the $450 kit, and a $350 battery and slap it on your own bike!
dude I shred dirt with mine , it’s so squirrely but super fun!
Just watched your video Iβm going to get one after watching this video Iβm impressed with it was looking for a light weight folding ebike hopefully Luna has one in stock do you still have yours and have you had any issues with the bike
I like this bike – unfortunately it isn’t steel. Especially for the long-range hard trails and heavy riders, using steel frame would be much better – even in feeling. Few lbs more doesn’t matter in ebikes.
