Does cycling cause erectile dysfunction in males? Is getting a numb penis while cycling a bad thing? And, can cycling lead to an increased risk of getting prostate cancer? In this video, Si put these questions to leading urologist Anthony Koupparis, who gave some very interesting answers around the subject. The video gives mostly good news (we can all let out a sigh of relief) but also highlights some instances where further medical attention would definitely be advised. We hope you can all learn a lot from this video and continue to enjoy riding your bikes.

So here’s an idea..wait for it..
    Riding a bike WITHOUT SITTING.

That’s why I fucking do for years now. It’s just far more reasonable and fitness beneficial way to use a bicycle.

  2. Otu Light on June 27, 2019 at 8:31 pm

A very good topic, indeed. Btw, that Urologist looks similar to the actor of Loki from the Avengers.

  3. Dan Bridge on June 27, 2019 at 8:33 pm

I never stay in one position on the saddle and have only ever encountered slight sit bone pain. usually the day after.

  4. mohd acir on June 27, 2019 at 8:34 pm

10 yrs back when I was about 38, while riding ramps at the park I hit my bladder in between my bmx’s seat and rear wheel (slammed seat), thing swelled a bit & turned bloody pale dark for a couple of days. 2 sons & a daughter came after that, hence I m still on that kid’s bike.

3:35 wow so I’m not fucking insane.. once I swear I sat down on some rocky place it felt odd but was fine to sit for a while.. after I got up I couldn’t feel my dick and the "tube" that goes back between your legs or whatever is going on there XD but it was the strangest thing in the world and I had no way to explain that my dick fel asleep lol.. least now I know this is a thing..
    Thanks YouTube recommendations..

I usually get a boner while riding, can be pretty embarrassing when your wearing lycra shorts

  7. julio alferez on June 27, 2019 at 8:36 pm

That’s why my bike has a wide seat and wide, up-right handle bars. The first time i rode a regular bike that forced a hunched-over posture, it gave me back pain the whole night. The bike that i have now, with a wide seat and handle bars, allows me to sit on the femoris muscles, instead of pressuring most of the body weight directly to the crotch. I see everyone else biking with narrow seats and hunched postures, and it drives me insane. I ride my bike every single day, and I never get any kind of pain WHAT-SO-EVER. It also allows me to breathe properly; you’d be surprised what impact of a difference positioning will make. I also recommend New Balance shoes for walking long distances and working on your feet all day, you won’t need stupid arch supports or foam insoles. New Balance gets the job DONE (I love talking about this stuff, because my life revolves around it)

This doctor just wants you to get checked out and get his money. Of course He gonna tell you to keep riding your bike. So you can maybe develop something like cancer so you can pay more money. Imma just not cycle.

Numb penis is a serious issue

  10. 515ventures on June 27, 2019 at 8:38 pm

Nothing was said in this video on how to maintain a healthy prostate! And you interviewed a Doctor in this video? Huh! •Disappointing

Just before going to bed, I`ve not overlooked to take this erectile dysfunction treatment method “Zοvαntο Bumbu” (Google it). The effect is definitely awesome like I have gained my youth drive again. Having sex to my spouse as many as I would like is simple. Getting focused on my daily work as a local plumber has also been boosted by this medication. Almost everything they put me through really works and I`m pleased this solution is all natural…

  12. JaArRyi FleshBlood on June 27, 2019 at 8:40 pm

Is it the same thing for cruser bikes?

  13. Jon Mamaril on June 27, 2019 at 8:41 pm

the urologist completely debunked medical myths
about cycling that even some doctors in small
    medical clinics in big cities in the Philippines;
    so there.

  19. jim crow on June 27, 2019 at 8:47 pm

I do 100 km p/w on an MB, and I can say that those skinny saddles are a killer. Get a ‘Big Bum’ saddle. You get BB saddles that only support the seat, like a womens saddle. I have calluses on my arse, so I’m not worried about riding a girly saddle.

  28. Prometheus on June 27, 2019 at 9:01 pm

Penile numbness can be caused by a poorly adjusted saddle. If you’re not sitting on your sit bones, either your saddle is not adjusted properly, or it’s not a good saddle for you.

  29. loup loupo on June 27, 2019 at 9:01 pm

This erection dysfunction treatment solution “Zοvαntο Bumbu” (Google it) is the most efficient. From what precisely I have noticed, the result is amazing. Before I had been lost but this time I`ve found my drive once again, like a young blood. It makes me able to do far better. Sex drive has build up and I`m noticing that I am getting bigger . We both observed the differences as compared before. What else could a guy would like?..

  30. Roman Baird on June 27, 2019 at 9:01 pm

Lance Armstrong had testicular cancer. Do you think the surgeons gave it a Lemond paint job after they removed it? (Pssssst…. Eddy Merckx was caught juicing 3 times, yet you never mention that)

  31. Mattmako on June 27, 2019 at 9:03 pm

For short, cycling wont give you cancer and etc, but get a saddle with a hole in the middle of it, just in case.

This is a very helpful and informative upload. I’m 65 and 3 years ago diagnosed with a trace of what appears to be a benign prostate cancer, it hasn’t advanced and my PSA levels are fine. Up until 10 years ago I cycled quite a lot. Now I’ve just ordered a new bike as I miss cycling and want to get fit again, so the reassurances given in the video are great news. I think I will however invest in a Brooks saddle, which should afford greater comfort and minimise any potential irritation.

  44. Bl our on June 27, 2019 at 9:19 pm

The easiest way to deal with erectile disfunction is to just go for a ride.
