I’m sure you already know this, but you can actually get replacement "universal" grip shift rubbers, they work fine but obviously don’t have the notches specific to each shifter model/brand so don’t always look perfect.  The part number on my list is MR-GS-332 if it helps.

You got it all as far as I could tell, thanks.  Have you announced when your live streaming Saturday shows start back up?  I really enjoy them.

Hey thanks very much… I just got my wife a brand new Giant Liv Enchant mountain bike for my wife. The tiger shifter on that bike is horrible. I’m replacing them with grip shifters and was wondering how to replace them. Thanks very much!

I love the 3.0 Grip Shift that I use on my commuter.  Compatibility takes some time to learn, though.  They offer 1:2 Shimano compatible, 1:1 and then Exact Actuation in various levels of twist shifters.  I run a small 12-23 on my commuter and bought a short cage Rival rear derailleur.  It was then that I realized that 1:1 and Exact Actuation are not the same thing…

Why can’t "they" make road tires from this crazy stickey stuff. I’d ride upside-down, sideways, I’d stick like white on rice & stink on shit. Some of those better than others of course.
    K-man.

Great video.  My shifter has the same problem.  The grip has turned into a mess of tar.  I did not know I had to replace the whole shifter.  Thanks for the information.
