I swear I am just about to put a car seat on my bicycle

  11. Fred Last on July 8, 2019 at 11:53 pm

My advice is ddon’t spend a lot of money on saddles. You can get a comfortable saddle for about £20 new from Decathlon and online. Or you could buy secondhand saddles from Ebay sellers, some are unused from new bikes and you can get them for a few pounds. However, if you spend £80 on some flashy saddle if it doesn’t fit you’re having to sell for a loss.

  12. ApocaIypse666 on July 8, 2019 at 11:56 pm

  24. John Foreman on July 9, 2019 at 12:09 am

I find if you ride frequently enough the pain goes away. When I ride after long breaks it’s right back to the pain

  27. vic tor on July 9, 2019 at 12:13 am

Hello! I’d like to share my experience in choosing right saddle. First i’v measured my sit bone width, i make it about 5 times, for the accuracy, the width is 11cm. Then i got some manuals, and they say that you must add some cm to your sit bone width in order to chose right saddle width. So +0cm for triathlon/time trail bike saddle, +1cm for very aggresive/racing road bike position, +2cm for sportive road bike possition. This possitions are the sharpness of your torso to saddle angle. For me the perfect width is about 120-130cm. And one more thing, the shape of the saddle as been shown in this video. The flat shaped saddle is when you have very flexible back and you like to move forvard and backward in your saddle during the ride, waved shape is for those who has bad flexibilety and like to stay in one spot during the ride. For me the flat saddle is the best, im flexy like a snake and like tomove forward in my saddle in aero position. The last thing is padding the less padding is the best for me, much padding will trick you in first 10-20 minutest in saddle, but on long ride it will be realy painfull. I like wery little padding, almoust non of it, and a quality brand padded anatomical bib pants or shorts(like Italians made). Wish good luck to everyone in choosing right saddle for you. Cheers.

  31. Retro Dude, On an old Mountain bike. on July 9, 2019 at 12:19 am

After watching your video I found a saddle that was 7mm more narrow. 138mm from 145mm wide. Wow pain gone after decades of pain. Worth the upgrade.

  32. F M on July 9, 2019 at 12:20 am

These bike companies basically sell these bikes with unpadded bricks to sit on which are very uncomfortable.

  33. miamiwax on July 9, 2019 at 12:21 am

Whoever designed bike seats was obviously a man hating feminist

  34. M Kosmos on July 9, 2019 at 12:23 am

have you ever tried Brooks saddle?

  35. BJ Martin on July 9, 2019 at 12:24 am

Bike manufacturers and old ideas is what makes new people run away from cycling. First the seats are so uncomfortable that you have to wear cycling shorts with pads. Yeah the big elephant in the room is you need padded pants. Hello, these day in age, you can’t make a comfortable seat that you don’t need padded pants? You save weight with slim seats too but then add weight with the pants. Old thinking.

  37. Truthseeker on July 9, 2019 at 12:24 am

Brooks B17 for the win. Worked for 110 years for everyone. I was in pain once and after the B17, I forgot bicycle saddles can hurt and affect your riding. I just wished they did it with carbon rails so that it is lighter.

  38. nikolsan15 on July 9, 2019 at 12:25 am

I’m a beginner and just trying to get healthy but I need a break in between rides. Sometimes it takes months before I ride again cause my ass hurts so much and I start feeling like it’s not worth the pain.

  39. Blu Bain on July 9, 2019 at 12:28 am

I wonder how you can call yourself a pro and not do your research properly, the best saddle that fits everyone is The infinity Sadle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5K8xE031fQ

  44. EA on July 9, 2019 at 12:40 am

Because of bad saddle I´ve had erection problems after some long bike rides and I felt pain. I cannot get a good erection anymore without taking viagra. So don´t do the same mistake and if you have a bad saddle don´t ride with it for too long because you can risk a permanent erection failure (it fucked up my blood flow permanently).

What about bike seats for guys with big balls

  47. Jeff Dixon on July 9, 2019 at 12:42 am

"While ‘horned or nosed’ (bicycle seats with a horn or nose)
bicycle saddles with troughs, grooves, or center cut-outs may feel
better because the internal penis fits into this area, the nerve and
blood supplies to the penis lie along the sides of the internal penis,
therefore the pressure on these key structures actually increases along
the edges of the trough restricting blood flow. Grooved, cutout designs
may not be better, and may be worse, than a solid saddle nosed seat."

I have a Selle Royale saddle on my bike which feels ok.. But after 20 miles.. my butt was hurting.. I am overweight.. I was REALLY overweight.. but have dropped about 70 lbs from 330 lbs to 260lbs with a goal weight of 220lbs
I will be Buying a Purpose Gravel bike like the Revolt Advanced within the next year and will want to go on long rides and will want a saddle that won’t kill my ass on my long journeys
