Please do a full fat ebike next.

  2. Paganiproductions on March 24, 2023 at 6:00 am

Inner tubes is not a good plan.

  3. Eric on March 24, 2023 at 6:00 am

I’ve never wanted a bike more in all my life than this one. What was the total build cost?

  4. letour32rr on March 24, 2023 at 6:01 am

So happy with the XC Race content!

  5. Hambo on a mountain bike on March 24, 2023 at 6:01 am

Berd spokes will save even more!

  6. tweeling1977 on March 24, 2023 at 6:01 am

Why not the new ASX SRAM eagle is stiffer, lighter and less Material.

  7. irfuel on March 24, 2023 at 6:01 am

You’re not going to run that thing with tubes in a race, are you? I don’t even understand the weight saving of using tubes.

  8. Lee.B on March 24, 2023 at 6:03 am

    Love the build

  9. Bike Fever on March 24, 2023 at 6:04 am

I had a bike that light; 2013 A Epic WC S-Works. Did I make a mistake selling it?

  10. LeninFPV on March 24, 2023 at 6:04 am

    Rad!!!

  11. Erik Von Ruden on March 24, 2023 at 6:06 am

I know you just built the bike up, but what about the new SRAM XX Sl drivetrain they just released? Is that any better for xc in terms of weigh?

  12. Chris Mahoney on March 24, 2023 at 6:07 am

Loved the video, but not the dim lighting. It was a bit hard to see what you were doing at times.

  13. Tyler Desrosiers on March 24, 2023 at 6:07 am

You lost me at swapping to SRAM 1:56 axs , it’s so heavy… why?!

  14. Grumpy Jay on March 24, 2023 at 6:09 am

Were those forks free from your local bike shop? …………………………..πŸ˜… sorry, had to do it..πŸ˜…

  15. GoToTrails on March 24, 2023 at 6:10 am

Perfect weight, but without suspension lockout?

  16. Marco Antonio on March 24, 2023 at 6:11 am

I think you should hook me up with the parts you took away fam pls

  17. Jakob Alles on March 24, 2023 at 6:12 am

I’d definetly go for an xx1 kassette for saving nearly annother 100g and then use those gramms to go tubeless for the added relyability.

  18. DroneBoy on March 24, 2023 at 6:12 am

Let’s see you go lighter and would it manage another Straffpuffer πŸ˜…

  19. Yuniel on March 24, 2023 at 6:12 am

    I love lightweight bikes

  20. Anita Snoopy on March 24, 2023 at 6:13 am

Great video πŸ˜ƒ bike build , that’s always fun to watch πŸ˜ƒ my bike weighs about 12 kilos maybe even 13 😬😬

  21. Leon Eggleston on March 24, 2023 at 6:14 am

I don’t know about the tubulitos. The point of being light is presumably to be faster. I’d rather a bit more weight and less chance of punctures as I believe there’s nothing slower than having to deal with a puncture. The best use for tubilito IMO is paired with tannus tubed armour – it can be lighter than a tubeless system with an insert and can have some advantages over it.

  22. Pin Ky on March 24, 2023 at 6:15 am

You could save most of a kg if you took all the paint off, a lot cheaper than a set of those wheels

  23. Oliver Leclere on March 24, 2023 at 6:16 am

Tires!! go way lower with schwalbe racing compounds in tubeless x 2.1 / 2.25, cassette throw a garbaruk in there, stem and steerer Ultralight… ~9.0 kg for your bike

  24. I Dont Think So on March 24, 2023 at 6:18 am

While this is a dream build, have you ever thought real-world people cannot afford anything like this Β£1000 on brakes alone? I love your channel but please make content that real people can content with.

Normal people cannot afford the bikes you are sponsored with and get for free

  25. dillerdallerglor on March 24, 2023 at 6:18 am

WTF. First two things off the bike are thing you added in the first place. Not to mention that the removed bottlecage had TOOLKIT!

  26. Mads_Ittmann on March 24, 2023 at 6:19 am

I really love the XC content!
Can you make a video about technical XC tips, for example tricky climbs or descents. Since all on YouTube I see are those videos but with 160 mm suspension.

  27. GΓ‘bor Bence MolnΓ‘r on March 24, 2023 at 6:19 am

I’m all about performance gains, but don’t be demotivated if your bike is a bit heavier, the majority of the riding weight is you, so get in shape you *lazy person*.

  28. Danil Erofeev on March 24, 2023 at 6:20 am

Was it a SRAM chain? Sram chains are slow according to other YouTubers..

  29. Jickmady Kulkarnisteakbacon on March 24, 2023 at 6:23 am

Bin the innertubes and just set up tubelessly.

  30. Michael Woodward on March 24, 2023 at 6:26 am

    Awesome looking frame!

  31. Christine Schulz on March 24, 2023 at 6:30 am

You are sounding like a triathlete when it comes to weight. @gtn

  32. Ondrej JΓ‘noΕ‘ka on March 24, 2023 at 6:31 am

The fork completely destroyed the look of beautiful bike.

  33. Mad lad MTB on March 24, 2023 at 6:33 am

    Those stickers weigh u downnnn

  34. Benjamin Snyder on March 24, 2023 at 6:33 am

Money no object? Make a rig that breaks the UCI regulations in weight.

  35. Paul on March 24, 2023 at 6:34 am

    Dropper tho 😁

  36. Keith Bowen on March 24, 2023 at 6:38 am

Lizard Skins ESP grips over the Ergon (also your bar end plugs were like absurdly long), Selle Italia SLR boost saddle will save you a chunk over the Ergon, The Fox 34 is a bit lighter than the SID and also allows the use of a 160mm front rotor instead of the 180 you have to run on the SID….although you might want to run 180 depending on the course. Resin pads are lighter than the metal whilst we’re at it too. Carbon-Ti axles. Carbon-Ti stem cap. Nylon bolts for the bottle cage. etc.

  37. Pavel Chernov on March 24, 2023 at 6:39 am

There’s one really KEY piece of information missing – the price of bike in the beginning vs. the price of the final bike. Is that really that big of a secret? Come on, Rich, share it!

  38. P B on March 24, 2023 at 6:45 am

XC is MTB, we need more XC content! Nice bike by the way 21LBS is amazing πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

  39. Jason Gleave on March 24, 2023 at 6:45 am

    Stunning

  40. Alistair Banks on March 24, 2023 at 6:46 am

Right up my trail – but any weight weenie build must cover Β£ per gram. And ideally some controlled before and after timed tests please.

  41. itastain on March 24, 2023 at 6:47 am

Now build the heaviest and race them

  42. ThunderStruckMTB on March 24, 2023 at 6:49 am

Curious how you saved 200g with tubes vs tubeless?

  43. Marko Matana on March 24, 2023 at 6:50 am

Don’t care, my do it all enduro bike(Reign) weighs about 15,5kg and it’s just fine. 😎 #PedalHarder

  44. MrLanky on March 24, 2023 at 6:51 am

I have a 2020 Orbea OIZ that weighs around 10.4kg. Complete XTR transmission and brakes, fox kashima fork and socks, dt swiss xrc 1200 with maxxis ikon, fox transfer sl telescopic seatpost. It means the best in terms of reliability and comfort at a reasonable budget

  45. Global Mountain Bike Network on March 24, 2023 at 6:53 am

Do you know the weight of your bike? Have you made any changes to get it lighter? Let us know down below!πŸ‘‡

  46. Still Rolling on March 24, 2023 at 6:54 am

That’s lighter than my road bikeπŸ˜‚

  47. Scott Leech on March 24, 2023 at 6:54 am

My MYO Orbea Oiz 2022 team TR full XTR in a small weighs in at 22.6 lbs stock set up tubeless with XTR pedals.

  48. Jay Johnson on March 24, 2023 at 6:55 am

My 7k xc fully rigid fully carbon weighs more than that! Just wild..

  49. Bladerr on March 24, 2023 at 6:56 am

How much did it cost to replace the parts
Bike looks awesome even before the exercise πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί
