Back from BPW on P7 hardtail (blues/reds and new ā€˜what’s occurring’ red/+black) nothing like what you rode but the hardtail can do ā€˜almost’ anything. And is very much limited by skills level

bit of a noob speaking here but why was there water in your tire?
is it to have a less chance of puncture or something?

  5. KirkWin Films on June 28, 2019 at 7:27 pm

Hard tails are more bumpy than regular full squish bikes, but if your doing relatively flat trails, slow tech or flow trails, they are wicked fun

  8. merimies on June 28, 2019 at 7:29 pm

I don’t ride anymore but I’d go straight back to a hardtail in a heartbeat. It just makes you such a better rider so that when you do step on a full sus, the world is your oyster

    But hardtail isn’t hardtail…

I’m trying some advanced trail stuff on my usually XC hardtail, which I converted into a trail machine as much as I could, but the geometry is just not made for it.
On roots and rocks it gets very unstable and twitchy cause of that very short wheelbase and steep head angle.
I have to be very concentrated and react immediately, or I slip and crash.

Yes, I see that as training.. but it’s just not satisfying enough for me to go that slow when everyone behind me goes way faster and has almost no problems.

Modern geometry makes you feel more confident and your bike is capable of so much more.
    That’s why I ordered a new trail hardtail frame.šŸ˜…
