  4. Peach Mango Moon on August 10, 2019 at 7:52 am

  8. jbmop on August 10, 2019 at 7:55 am

  9. KFN VII on August 10, 2019 at 7:55 am

    Wow, glad you’re ok.

  10. Metal Banana's on August 10, 2019 at 7:56 am

I am glad you are okay dude, seriously! Keep that helmet and show people as a reminder of how important it is that it’s not the skull that split in half. Gotta love the only downfalls of carbon eh? Strong as shit til it cracks then its garbage, hopefully you don’t have to fork out 100% from your pocket to replace it. Get better and on the road soon brother.

Hy ! Can I use a part of your video ? I want to make a small compilation and I ll give you the credits . Ride safe !

  12. Patrick Bateman on August 10, 2019 at 7:57 am

That’s why I don’t ride carbon bikes. They’re a huge waste of money and very dangerous.

  13. Rob Bastien on August 10, 2019 at 8:01 am

Shit man!  You OK? Seing your helmet like that, you got concussion?

  14. teresa shaw on August 10, 2019 at 8:02 am

Got a 165 dollar fine for no helmet yesterday going to court to argue necessity based on bicycle helmet research association study showing 35 to 50 percent more chance of brain damage from rotational injuries from wearing a helmet.

  16. Laura Frost on August 10, 2019 at 8:13 am

I’m glad u are okay I was hit on my bike on March 8th 2015 I live in Chicago hope everything goes well with the repair on your bike it’s so many thing to be cautious of being a cyclist u have cars who don’t want us on the road and animals who jump in front it’s so much to be aware of cycling

  17. Tomás on August 10, 2019 at 8:13 am

How did your helmet crack so easily??? I landed very hard on the front right side of my helmet there’s some damage but no big cracks

  18. Christian Diaz Tirado on August 10, 2019 at 8:13 am

Also don’t forget gloves, ones I fell down from my bike and land on my rigth and I could see my muscles. Nice to know u both r ok!

  19. bottmar1 on August 10, 2019 at 8:14 am

That stupid helmet would be illegal on a moped going that same speed in a helmet law state. Motorcycle helmets don’t fall to pieces. Just saying. (Don’t give me that bull shit "bicycle helmets are designed to break to protect your head" story.)

  20. George Viaud on August 10, 2019 at 8:16 am

Reminder: Deer are Keto Friendly. Carry on

  21. MiBandit on August 10, 2019 at 8:17 am

Dude Bambi just wrecked your helmet and bike. Its good to see your ok though.

  22. stabilisedchaos on August 10, 2019 at 8:17 am

Just spent $65 on a helmet today,I think it was a good investment after seeing this.

  23. lee garrett on August 10, 2019 at 8:22 am

    Was the deer ok?

  24. James Dominichi films on August 10, 2019 at 8:22 am

i cannot express how important it is to wear helmets people. i am a bmxer and we get into the craziest stuff. basiclly i jumped off a wall down a hill. I was wearing my helmet as i allways do and that is why im alive. i under rotated and slamed on the back of my head onto the asphalt. it was a decent bell bmx helmet too and it cracked the heck out of it. i would not be alive today without helmets. WEAR A HELMET

  25. Essentialys on August 10, 2019 at 8:22 am

I think you need a electric bike horn.

  26. Martin Joustra on August 10, 2019 at 8:24 am

When you’re racing you indeed need a helmet.

  27. Carole B on August 10, 2019 at 8:24 am

    Was the deer okay?

  28. Ash qelon on August 10, 2019 at 8:25 am

    Wow, sorry for your accident.

Yet Yes, great wisdom to write bike Into home owners policy too as my frame alone new online is 3, 500…

    So definitely good advice.

Helmet saved me from a very hard hit I took two years ago that likely would have gave a sever concussion from it.

Hope you overcome and keep on bikining

  29. elly83100 on August 10, 2019 at 8:26 am

Thank you for this. People have no idea how important it is to wear a helmet. I’m looking for a good helmet came across your channel. Thanks.

  30. Dan P on August 10, 2019 at 8:26 am

What is this bike made of

  31. Jessica Visser on August 10, 2019 at 8:26 am

    How’s the deer?

  32. Andréas Remis on August 10, 2019 at 8:29 am

Whew – good to see you are okay.  Rather the material objects than you!  Count our blessings you are in good health.

  33. aucourant on August 10, 2019 at 8:32 am

The Dutch don’t wear helmets and they have the best cycling safety record in the world and the most cyclists. Here in the UK, the PC fascists are continually pushing for statutory regulations to make people wear helmets and it is only a matter of time before the nanny-state gives in and makes it the law. When that happens, I will sell my bike and buy a car. At the moment I love cycling with the wind in my hair and not a care in the world, I enjoy all of nature around me and love the breeze on my face and the sense of freedom. You can’t do that with a ridiculous looking turd-hat on your head. As the video pointed out, it was a freak accident. You could be walking along the road and trip and hit your head, should we all be required to wear silly looking pudding on our heads when walking? When the law was changed in Australia making it compulsory to wear helmets, the number of cyclists drastically reduced and has never recovered since. People who used to enjoy cycling simply decided to stop.

Aluminium and strong legs over carbon ANY DAY!

  35. Dennis Dowd on August 10, 2019 at 8:34 am

I can’t tell you how many people I have taken care of in the emergency department from cycling accidents. I see a couple of things around here, one people are smoking cigs, and no helmet and it drives me crazy. I would of course have your head checked for a concussion. You can have that type of impact without some effect on your brain tissue. Good luck.

  36. j88k001 on August 10, 2019 at 8:36 am

Thank God you’re OK – and great PSA on helmets – literally looking for this type of video to show to my children.

  37. MuppetAlex1 on August 10, 2019 at 8:36 am

Ouch. At least you walked away from it.

  38. Romania de azi on August 10, 2019 at 8:37 am

you can save the ghears, the shigters things like that… and get steel or aluminium it won;t break in half

  39. Carl O'Dwyer on August 10, 2019 at 8:40 am

    Glad ur ok mate !!!

  40. Brandon Jackson on August 10, 2019 at 8:43 am

Gesh, sorry man – glad you are alright, could have been nasty!

I might have to get a new wheelset soon, wondered if you would share an opinion on carbon vs aluminum. I’m in Oklahoma so mostly flat here, typically average 18/19mph with 5-10mph wind (on good days). I plan to start going crit races soon for fun and experience as I build up endurance. Common weekend rides are with groups and rolling hills, typically end up with 2-3k in elevation. Roads aren’t the best, bumpy and pot holes. Thoughts?

  41. Mark Ferguson on August 10, 2019 at 8:44 am

Mate that is off the chart… I hope you pulled up okay. The bike snapping is one thing… but the Helmet! Faaaaarrrkk!

  42. Gillenz Fluff on August 10, 2019 at 8:46 am

I don’t understand why people that want to keep fit ride road bikes you would get fitter faster on a heavy mountain bike!
