Flipping Used Mountain Bikes To Make Extra Money

Flipping Used Mountain Bikes To Make Extra Money

A few months ago I purchased a brand new mountain bike from a local shop using only the money I had made from buying and selling (and riding) other bikes. There are always good deals on your local classifieds if you keep an eye out for them. From full suspension fat bikes to endurance road bikes, I got to try out so many different bikes in this process. So after several months of buying, selling, and riding, I had a brand new bike and $350 in cash in my pocket.

Just a quick question, the first bike you bought for 275 and sold for 450. Did you do any work on it or just took better pictures. How do you make that big of a profit without breaking the bank on upgraded parts ? Thanks a lot man, love your vids

2015-2020 i did this wid used bmx bikes… but the market got overflooded everybody was trying the same to flip old 80s bmx bikes… recently i wanted to build me mtb and saw with mtb there are even worse price differences then with bmx bikes back then… if u have a good eye and know how to technically fix things theres alot of money in flipping used mtb… just look for really cheap bikes with high components like xt gears or chris king parts cant do much wrong here…

I have been doing something similar for the last 5 summers. I use it to fund my bike and bike tool addiction as well as keep my kids riding good bikes at no cost. My goal is to turn it into a full time gig eventually.

Nice work on the flips. I have been doing the same thing for years and it has helped me fund all my hobbies. This last year since Covid it has been much harder to find good deals, but they are still out there.

Awesome video man, I just started in the business I already have a $6K bike from my mom, then started buying less value bike to fix up and sell for more.

Thumbs down on this because the narrator never tells us how he was able to sell for more money, did he replace components ? which ones, did he improve the cosmetics? what ? totally useless.

Now all i gotta do is familiarize myself with name brands so i know what parts are worth more

So you rode bikes until they broke or needed work done, then sold them instead of fixing them? You’re a con artist. Nothing more, nothing less.

Just bought this same bike online from a shop in Salt Lake City, might have been the same shop you went to. Having it shipped and can’t wait! It’s hard to find reviews of this bike so thanks for the review and info.
