  2. Joshua Law on July 16, 2019 at 11:52 pm

I’m more of a NorCal guy, growing up in Chico. A lot of trails up there are better in my opinion, but is good information. Kinda inspired me to drive down south in my R50 Pathfinder and hit some of those trails!

Since the fires in holy Jim it has been closed off and most of it had been paved so there’s only a little dirt now :((

I was recently told about Main Divide by a member of the forest service on a trip to check out the Los Alamos Truck Trail which I discovered was closed due to the wildfires at the end of last year. Definitely want to check it out. Also been wanting to check out Azusa Canyon!

Thank you so much for your website and you-tube videos! I’m a total beginner with a 2wd crossover – but I was wondering if I could confirm your take on whether Trabuco had enough simple “dirt roads” for me to tackle in good weather – and that any “advanced” alternative points would be easy to avoid? Sorry to have the lamest question ever but I’m hoping to grow in this sport – thanks for all of your help. Brian

  17. Matthew M on July 17, 2019 at 12:08 am

awesome video!! which trail do you think a forester can handle?

  18. Nick Sharpe on July 17, 2019 at 12:08 am

Bummer about Crash Flats water crossing… Now there’s a new bridge with 50 yards of asphalt on each end. Something about too many rescues…
Maybe Holcomb Creek after all this rain and snow 3N16 at 3N93 (3N08 on VUM)

Thank you for making this video. I don’t have a off road vehicle, but have a 4wd vehicle. This is really useful video for L.A residents who don’t want to go drive far.

  35. Jeff Bragg on July 17, 2019 at 12:32 am

Main Divide ( inc Santago Peak) and Holy Jim are currently closed due to last years fires. Spoke to a Ranger off Highway 74 last week, and they havent completed their survey. Keeping it closed for now due to rock and mud slide damage.
