I used to run 32-35 psi in my tires, but that was long ago. Oh yeah, and cutting off fingers is no fun. I recently had that done to one. 😂😂

Haha everyone always copying me, 3 years ago I started using velcro for the front part of my brake cable on the TT. No one else had that shit I made my own, then the next year all the bikes with brakes had the velcro strap. Then beginning of last year I was rockin a bar pad that I made out of conduit insulation and I even sewed the cover my self and now I’m seeing everyone with them. Next year ya’ll will be copying my chain guard steez, just watch.

Then plush seats will follow, but I think I’m way ahead of my time on those 😛 Maybe by a couple years. Remember this December 2018

  14. R6Mute Main on July 8, 2019 at 11:33 pm

Got a duo on the front and glh on the back. Thinking about odyssey path pro or sunday street sweepers. Maybe cult×vans idk

  15. Jesse Congdon on July 8, 2019 at 11:33 pm

With having to remove the air to take the back wheel off because of breaks, I know a way around it. I set my brakes up so the barrel adjuster is all the way out, that way I can loosen the brakes if the wheel moves or if I get a buckle, but loosen the brakes all the way on jsut the barrel adjuster and then you can unhook the brake arms from the wire or unhook the splitter wire from the cable straddle and the brakes are loose to take the wheel out.

Oh also with the small chance you see this you said you’ll give away the old tires. I live in the uk, I’m guessing that means I can’t be part of it?

  16. Seekthecargeek on July 8, 2019 at 11:33 pm

  34. lifyz on July 8, 2019 at 11:55 pm

You should try the maxxis grifters I have them they’re really light and very grippy even in rainy weather but the sidewalls are abit to weak

  35. Justin Crampton on July 8, 2019 at 11:56 pm

My instagram is @jlc_bmx ; i really want those tires. I tagged you in a post and dm’d you. You should definitely send them to me. Please😂

Takes me 20 min just to TAKE OFF my back tire

  40. Wideawake Nightmare on July 9, 2019 at 12:01 am

2.4 feel sluggish and rub on grinds. Better for drops.

  41. Sergio G on July 9, 2019 at 12:02 am

No love for the Maxxis Grifters? They are super light, have good sidewall strength and a great bead, and have absurd grip. Having cut one up to dig around, I’m pretty damn confident with that over any other tire I’ve used on a BMX. I feel like I’m riding twice as fast on them and grip at much more acute angles comfortably on them than anything else I’ve ridden. Only thing I’m uncomfortable on are cold, wet, metal surfaces.

  42. Hilario Alaniz on July 9, 2019 at 12:03 am

  44. steve l on July 9, 2019 at 12:05 am

Any suggestions for 16inch , I need for my sons wtp arcade?

  45. CIA on July 9, 2019 at 12:05 am

I ride Merritt option 2.35, they are very fast and grippy. For street they are very good, park they are very good, for dirt riding they are actually good for slick tyres, they do have grippy sections on the sides which help a lot, for metal ramps I found that they weren’t too good due to the slick middle section, and in the rain don’t try and ride, they are too slippy.
Overall they are really good tyres and I’m happy with them. I previously rode BSD donnasqueaks and they were very good too!

    Good video as usual Alf.

Didnt you already make a video about this? The BMX Tire 101?

  50. tom frankfooter on July 9, 2019 at 12:12 am

odyssey path pro 2.25s are the best tires ive ever rode. 10/10 they rock for street/park and can handle dirt (i have never wiped out).
they fuckin squeak and cherp. last a long time, dont cost alot, not heavy. i wont ride any other tires. 2.4s are a meme i think.
