External batery for your phone, at least 2000 or 3000 mA, just in case… is quite cheap and who knows when you or your fried need some "power" 😉

  4. Phillip Lewicki on July 5, 2019 at 8:13 pm

One tip: carry a 27.5“ tube with you. It can fit in a 26“ tire but can also be stretched to fit the 29“. Great when your riding buddies have different wheels.

  5. Amir Azemi on July 5, 2019 at 8:16 pm

Hey i picked up a brand new 2015 fox 32 evo fork for my xc bike. Did a lowers oil and new seals and the rebound and lockout stopped working. Seals and fox gold fluid were to address the tsb. Any ideas ? That due to not enough fluid?

  7. Gian on July 5, 2019 at 8:20 pm

2 important extra things: an extra derailleur hanger and a gear cable. They wheight grams and you’ll thank god (or someone else) to have them with you 😉

  24. aljowen on July 5, 2019 at 8:43 pm

I have heard that a 27.5" inner tube will also fit on 26" and 29" wheels in a pinch. I have never had to test this though thankfully.

  25. Paddy Davison on July 5, 2019 at 8:43 pm

  33. Gary Gilbert on July 5, 2019 at 9:03 pm

#1 toilet paper just in case, I always keep some in a Ziploc bag in my walking and hiking packs, the Ziploc bag can also be used to protect your phone if the rain gets so heavy your pack is filling with water…….I’ve known people to keep their phone in a condom when hiking in torrential rain so maybe an idea for us mtbers.

  34. ray daggers on July 5, 2019 at 9:03 pm

Great advice. Does that multitool include a chain breaker? Otherwise how are you going to attach the spare missing link?

  35. mjs1231 on July 5, 2019 at 9:04 pm

I bought a second new bike just to keep locked in my oversized suv incase i need more rep points to front the trail pimps that also bought extra everything to do everything and go everywhere yet dont ride further than 5 miles away. Did i win yet???

  36. John wombat38 on July 5, 2019 at 9:04 pm

Probably better off taping chain link to a cable..

  37. Dr4g0nW00d on July 5, 2019 at 9:05 pm

don t forget to tell people where you go and when you normally come home take a fully loaded phone with you and leave the unlock code screen off for the emergency’s paramedics

  38. Gerty X on July 5, 2019 at 9:05 pm

Those thin latex gloves. Stop you getting filthy, and can also be used under bike gloves in very cold weather.
