What a nice $7k beginner’s bike! I would have recommended a used or even lower priced model to be able to make a better choice after getting used to riding one unless this was a promo for the shop and cut a great deal. Who knows, it may not be his thing at all (there’s reason why he hadn’t ridden one in 20 yrs) but then I guess his son could always use it (kinda looks like F Castro), lol.
Where do you live
Good video .take care of pops .enjoy!!!!!
5 grand for a beginner 🤦♂️🤦♂️ bike.
Sir can u plz donate me a MTB bike commenting from INDIA plz sir we have a bit of money problems plz sir a humble request plz sir
I think its not the bike, its how the dude set the bike for your dad which is beyond any price.
I dunno that yeti seems really overkill for a beginner but that’s what I think
I live in Brazil and I love cycling, unfortunately I don’t ride a bike much because I don’t have a top bike. But one day I will go to the USA to buy a scott bike.
Wow cool bike. I wish i had one like that.
Kudos to your dad for thinking outside the box on how to get his health where he needs it to be and kudos to you for helping him select the right bike! I just recently got in MTBing as an alternative to Basketball/running (torn achilles and torn patella) and the results have been amazing, body fat down, resting heartrate down, 12lbs lighter, feeling better than I have in a long time…. I hope your Dad get’s what he’s looking for out of riding!
This came up in my recommended today u should make a catch up video to see how he rides now
I love your dad!
This is a great idea to see how your dad progresses with mountain biking…… I’m in a similar position to your dad but I’ve gone with an E MTB because it really helps me stay in control of my energy levels……. great to see you guys sharing your time together cos it’s priceless, and I’m speaking as a guy who lost his dad a decade ago and never had the opportunity to share his autumn years with him…. So I’m going to follow your dad’s progress with great interest because I can’t wait to see him riding the trails as a superfit Guy very soon! Thanks for encouraging me too!… Best wishes to you both, Shakkers🇬🇧😉
Ps. So so envious of your access to Worldwide Cyclery, what a fantastic team of Professionals they are……
To much bike for you dad. He just needs a trek Marlin 5. Sorry stupid gift.
I want a Yeti to jump off sidewalks onto the street.
so hes not a mountain biker n he just wants to get into it right? *spends thousands of dollars on a carbon full suspension bike*
This is who you buy a used bike from after he rides it 3 or 4 times 🤣
In late April, I was 330lbs and diagnosed with type 2
Picked up an MTB a week later
Since then, I have lost 60lbs and my type 2 is now in remission – my A1C and glucose levels are back to normal ranges
Tell your pops to be consistent and he’ll make some great progress
This is so wholesome
i wish there were bike stores like this, from where i am from
I just want to do down hills… you have to pedal when you go up hill.
The way he slams the bike down the stairs hurts
It’s good to see your dad taking the next step in his recovery and for his health. Keep us posted. Just subscribed. Great video 👊
Why the hell y’all getting a newbie a carbon full suspension bike. This is not what he should be getting. So dumb
He should lose weight first
Well guess what… now he cant
How’s he doing now?
Whatever happened to Dad? Is he doing ok?
We’re is the bike shop located at
Your dad loves talkin dude😂
I am 62 and I just bought me a Borealis Crestone Fatbike and I changed out the following things to make it more comfortable for me. The handlebars, the seat, the pedals and the grips
WorldWideCicyclery is the best shop ever. They Rock.
The salesman trying to tone down the rider lingo is gold.
I’m 5ft 8 with short legs, here’s the large 29er lol. Then again when I saw the medium he looked like he was on an upright bike. I had the same problems coming from cross-country bikes in the 90s having learned to ride in a aero position makes a hard transition to the new geo. I have the same fit problems as the dad and trying to find a hardtail that has standover while not feeling cramped in the cockpit has been a challenge.
I have a sb100 and it is an awesome bike
I’m a late watching this but, it was awesome to see! I love that he went for the best right out of the gate. Gonna get caught up on the build videos now!
Isnt that like a 7 thousand dollar bike lol
Would have been a more touching story if it wasn’t a blatant advertisement!
A new bike is definitely not in the cards for me…I’ll probably get buried with my Trek Remedy 6…lol
Can you doo me next
That is cool nice bike 👍 excellent choice
Nice bike
I’ll be 79 soon and was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, however, to date I’ve done nearly 4000 miles in the past 3 years between walking and cycling….about 55% was on the bike, I’ve now reversed the diabetes and sugar levels are down to normal, not only that I’m no longer on any medication. Kudos to your dad for his determination to get healthy and cycling is a great way to do it.
Hmmm…beginner bike….let’s head over to this fully carbon full suspension bike and get you hooked up my man! 😅 This dude picked out such an expensive first bike lol
Pops is a chatterbox 😄
Love it! I am also looking into MTB as a way to get healthy again. I have not owned a bike since I was 14. I have become obsessed with watching MTB videos and hope to get riding soon! Love the channel; Keep up the great work!

Your dad is awesome
I use DT Swiss wheels and I broke 3 just from rocks…..
