The rivalries I personally want to see. Froome comeback. Cav at tour de France. Both ripping it up and proving themselves against all commers. Then Thomas again showing his strength. I think you overlooked them. I said it first, it will happen. Age is a different thing now. it matters less!

Gravel racing, it would seem, is developing a niche as a senior tour for retired road pros and that sounds great for them and their fans. And it is very similar to the motocross scene in the ’70s, with seasoned European motocross pros coming over here to dominate the young Americans who quickly tired of that and showed the Euro pros they had another thing coming. And it was a decade of great sports theater between not just riders from either side of the Atlantic but also Japanese and European motorcycles.

  22. XHAD on November 16, 2022 at 5:56 am

Another one would be Cavendish and a single TDF stage win separating him from holding the outright record for most TDF stage wins.
