Soooo…what I’m trying to figure out is, can I attach a trailer to an adult tricycle

  4. Stephen Ariela on August 2, 2022 at 12:48 am

You mentioned this not being safe for the road. We live in the UK and would buy this for replacing it with having a car as my husband has been cycling to work and we don’t really need a car except for when going out with girls. In this case we would use the bike trailer but would need to suit the road. Is this an option?

Best way to ride with a child. No time. I use the bike trailer for my chihuahua’s. More fun!! They don’t cry or whine. LOL

Really good content! Looking for your advice here: with my kids turning 6 and 2 next January, what would you advise to get? Soon the younger will join the brother on his school so I’ll be commuting ~3 miles everyday to take them to school. I thought about getting the back-mount child seat but with its ~22kg limit soon it will be useless to take my oldest son. Of course I could re-use to take my youngest daughter only… anyways, I’m feeling tempted to get the trailer, not only because I can take both but essentially because I’m learning I can attach it to a road bike, which is the only bike I have. This road bike is actually 100% of the time at home, attached to a smart trainer, and as I’m considering getting a smart bike I think I could repurpose the road bike to use on the trailer. Your advice is welcome!

Hi, This video has very good information. I am looking for your help in buying a bike and child rear seat. Do I need to buy separate rack and install it first and then place child seat above it. I am so new to this. Could you please share the links to all the products as an example. I am having hard time finding a matching bike, child seat, rack. Thank you very much!

  13. Eddie in Trouble on August 2, 2022 at 12:58 am

How easy is to take it from the bike to stroll mode?

  14. Andreas Larsson on August 2, 2022 at 12:59 am

There are other front mounted seats that are mounted closer to the handle bar thus giving more space for your own legs. I have the Thule RideAlong Mini and my knees don’t touch the seat. 🙂

I have a 7 year old that refuses to ride a bike. Anything I can use to haul them

  17. Chris Foxwell on August 2, 2022 at 1:03 am

Do you have any thoughts on a higher backed or lower more open rear seat? The seat in video, should the bike go over, the only protection is the helmet. I’m looking at the Bobike Exclusive Tour Plus that has a lot of protection but seems excessive and maybe even less enjoyable experience for the kiddo. I’ve ridden bikes all my life and never with a helmet so i’m not sure what’s acceptable and what’s overkill.
I would be putting it on a 750w e-bike and will be using it on roads at times.

Does anyone know if you would be able to use both a rear seat and trailer at the same time I have three kids and would like to be able to take all three of them on a ride sometime

May i know where did u get the kid chairs?

  20. Betty's Eldest on August 2, 2022 at 1:10 am

In ’86 when my wife was pregnant the first thing we bought for the baby was junior back tandem, followed closely by a set of kiddie cranks. From about a year old our eldest daughter rode in a Hamax rear seat on one of our bikes. At three she rode the tandem fitted with kiddie cranks, whilst her younger sister used the bike seat. At five she was able to ride the juniorback tandem without kiddiecranks so we swapped them over to our touring tandem for the youngest to ride. In winter it gets cold for a child sitting motionless in a bike seat, so we were limited to rides of an hour or two, but in summer one hundred mile rides were feasible at a very early age. We often did borrow a Burley Lite back in the 80s so that we could take a friend or even two out with us. With three and one year old grandsons, I am currently refurbishing the juniorback tandem, but also planning to purchase a Burley Bee to tow behind it.

  28. Gardner Calibuso Smith on August 2, 2022 at 1:16 am

Nice review 👍👍👍. I use the weeride for my 3 year old grand daughter. Now carrier is too small but I also have the trailer. I haven’t tried any rear carrier, will try that too

  33. Matthew Dalton on August 2, 2022 at 1:20 am

How do you dismount your bike? I usually kick my legs over but with the rear seat ill Jackie Chan my kid.

Can child seat fix in rear with double suspension bike?

  35. Bertrand Morin on August 2, 2022 at 1:22 am

Just purchase a used macride, and the knee offset is realy hard on the body after long ride vs 50km+ ride with the trailer without any issue

  36. Steffi on August 2, 2022 at 1:23 am

Where did you get you back seat rack?

  37. Andreas Larsson on August 2, 2022 at 1:24 am

I use both child seats and bike trailer. However I’ve experienced that some drivers don’t see the bike trailer and are about to crash into it. So I see some risk with using a bike trailer as well. Especially when biking in the city even though you are using only bike paths and bike lanes.

  38. karthikeyan karnan on August 2, 2022 at 1:28 am

Thanks for this video? Would you recommend some BIKE as well, which would be good for these bike seats?

  40. Joe on August 2, 2022 at 1:30 am

  41. 조희정 on August 2, 2022 at 1:31 am

How can i buy the two seats?

  42. PENZO GRITTY on August 2, 2022 at 1:32 am

What kind of bike rack are you using to hold up the back child seat , looks solid ? . I have a 40 lbs kid and I’ve been told I’m at the max weight for the seat and rack , it’s unfortunate because it’s the most efficient seat for my situation. If I can find a weight bearing rack , I’d extend the use of the bike seat , are you able to let me know the average maximum weight for a child seat and what kind of bike rack you’re using? Greatly appreciated 🙏

  43. spambryan17 on August 2, 2022 at 1:33 am

I really wanted a front mounted one, it seems more fun but alas, i have a roadie. Settled for a trailer. Great vid my man!

  45. Bryant Espinoza on August 2, 2022 at 1:34 am

Your daughter is so adorable and they are both beautiful happy kids. Props to you. I’m trying to really incorporate my daughter with my riding. She got taken away from me for a few years and now she’s 6 and not 3 or 4 so I’m trying to find a solution that will make up for the bigger size and weight she now has. She loves adventuring with dad and I must give her that before it’s too late.

  46. Naomi hutchinson on August 2, 2022 at 1:36 am

What do you guys suggest with a three month old?

  47. CWR on August 2, 2022 at 1:36 am

I’ve seen countless kids asleep in the back seat with parent oblivious while the kids head is bent unnaturally and bouncing all over the place.

  48. Cherrell M on August 2, 2022 at 1:37 am

Great video! Very informative on different options we have when biking with a child. I have a 6 month old and want to start biking more and this video gave a lot of good information 👍🏾

  49. Sora Mame on August 2, 2022 at 1:37 am

For the rear childseat in the winter, do you have a way to keep a kid warm with a special poncho, cover, etc?

  50. Ravichandran S on August 2, 2022 at 1:38 am

Thank you for this video. Unfortunately my child is not sitting in the bike trailer, so trying the back seat. Bought couple of bike racks (returned one already and bought second one) and both has mentioned, "not for use with child seat". What could be the problem in using that with child seat? or any bike rack recommendations to use with back child seat?
