Bull City Today ep. 1071 Durham Trails [Sept 7, 2022]

There are exciting updates to share on three new @dprplaymore trails that are currently in the works throughout the city. We share the next steps on the R. Kelly Bryant Bridge Trail, the Third Fork Creek Extension Trail, and the Downtown Durham Rail Trail on #BullCityToday.

Transcript: There are exciting updates to share on three new trails that are currently in the works throughout the city. The approximately three-mile R. Kelly Bryant Bridge Trail will start at the intersection of Dakota Street and Highway 55/Alston Avenue and will end at Drew/Granby Park on Drew Street. The approximately two-mile Third Fork Creek Extension Trail is planned for southern Durham where it will begin at the end of the existing Third Fork Creek Trail in Southern Boundaries Park. It will end at the existing American Tobacco Trail at the intersection of Fayetteville Street. And the approximately two-mile Downtown Durham Rail Trail will provide a connection between Durham Station and Avondale Drive along an 18-acre historic railway corridor. Community engagement is currently being conducted for all of these projects with designs expected to be completed by next September and construction finished by 2025. More information on all three trails can be found at DPR Play More dot blogspot dot com or through social media.
