Bikes Towing Bikes! Honda Gold Wing & CRF250X vs. Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager & KX250F | ON TWO WHEELS

Yes, you can throw your dirtbike in the back of a truck, or behind a four-wheeled vehicle on a trailer. There’s a reason that’s the go-to technique for motorcyclists. But here at On Two Wheels, we’re always looking for an excuse to use a motorcycle instead of a car. So, when we wanted to ride the red rock and powdery sand of Utah, we knew we could find a way to tow dirt bikes behind touring rigs.

Since your video got me on this war path (went out and bought a harley street glide to tow my ktm 500 excf all over ) I can not find a trailer to get this done I don’t really want harbor freight also I’d like just a simple rail on 2 wheels and the specialized hitch that let’s the bike lean normaly

How heavy was the tongue weight with those short trailers?

  8. Bruce Bannerman on June 4, 2021 at 6:01 pm

It’s bikes pulling trailers, just happens that the load is a bike.

  9. jay vee on June 4, 2021 at 6:02 pm

    No registration needed for trailers?

  10. Dario Cuter on June 4, 2021 at 6:05 pm

  16. Billy Darley on June 4, 2021 at 6:11 pm

ideally those trailers should have more tongue length. makes it a bit easier and safer to pull.

    "On 2 Wheels,"

I WANT an Indian Scout "BOBBER," TOWED BEHIND an Indian "Challenger."

    I’m a GRANDPA. I’ve ridden, for MORE than 50yrs. I was a TRUCKER, for 35.

My LAST BIKE, was a DYNA StreetBob.

I went to MOTORCYCLIST’ offices, on my ’75 RD350B, In ’76. That’s when they were on SUNSET.

Guys, I’m BETWEEN My LAST-BIKE & MY NEXT ONE.

    I HAVE PARKINSON’S DISEASE. I CAN’T EVEN RIDE a BICYCLE.

    The plan?

    I NEED a SideCar.

  20. Ferrum Chnop on June 4, 2021 at 6:13 pm

Those harbor freight trailers arnt bad if you keep a eye out and replace any questionable hardware and repack the bearings with real grease.

  23. chengs group25 on June 4, 2021 at 6:15 pm

  24. burt simmons on June 4, 2021 at 6:20 pm

If u get stuck call wider towing

  25. Plain Oldme on June 4, 2021 at 6:21 pm

You also failed to mention about legalization/registration of trailers and who hooked up lights etc.

  26. Rob Arnold on June 4, 2021 at 6:22 pm

My Kawasaki VN2000A would pull those easily.

  27. Isaiah Villarreal on June 4, 2021 at 6:22 pm

30 years ago my truck broke down. So I took the body off of the side car frame. Mounted a plank of wood and loaded up the dirt bike. Ive seen pics from the 1940s of riders removing the wheels off the race bikes and bolting the forks to a mount on the back of their street bike. Some would also remove the drive chain. Just don’t go breaking an arm or leg cuz mounting and riding back won’t be fun.

  31. Bikers On Call on June 4, 2021 at 6:27 pm

Super cool video, but that is not a ‘home made’ trailer,
far from it,  its a kit, not even close to home made.
That’s like saying a mint condition bike is  ‘New’ .

  32. Mouse Gipson on June 4, 2021 at 6:27 pm

Súper awesome video. I live in Utah I go to Moab Utah a list 10 times a year and south west Utah too. I love it. Utah is gorgeous from the most beautiful desert to the amazing mountains.

  39. cine pobre on June 4, 2021 at 6:33 pm

  40. Omolo George on June 4, 2021 at 6:34 pm

  42. Plain Oldme on June 4, 2021 at 6:35 pm

Did you show where the hitches came from? I’d like to know. Also see no reason for the plywood, the lighter the better in my opinion
