Bicycle Parts – chopper fork, headset, handlebar installation
See how we install a chopper fork headset onto our HogRider chopper frame. We install a chopper fork with a 1 1/8″ headset and a stem that goes onto the forks 1 1/8″ steering tube. The stem can accept a handlebar with a center tube diameter of 1″. In this video we use the following part numbers from our website BicycleDesigner.com
513200 Chopper Fork – steering tube 1 1/8″ diameter x 13 7/8″ long, fork legs 28″ long x 30mm diameter
503100 chrome chopper fork headset for 1 1/8″ steering tube.
534016 chrome chopper fork stem for 1″ handlebar, accepts 1 1/8″ threadless steering tube
516006 7″ high x 27″ wide chrome NEW moon cruiser handlebars, 1″ tube diameter to stem, 7/8″ diameter to grips
I see a lot of these videos but I haven’t seen anything about the length between the 2 fork braces. Can they be adjusted to fit different size bike heads? How do your know what size to order? None of the vendors show any dimensions .
I have a 1971 triumph frame and I turned it into a bike and I used bike forks like these just to be cheap. Bad idea they broke. So pro tip use bike parts for bikes and motorcycle parts for motorcycles
