I damaged this light because i converted it to direct battery system because the dynamo was not working properly but i connected the light to the laptop charger which damaged it and not turning on ,it was working perfectly with direct battery

Just a quick tip for cleaning brass and copper contacts, use a pencil eraser that way you just polish it up and remove the oxidation layer.

BTW, 1 diode would be enough and you would have less voltage drop. Also using a resistor and a zener diode wold be a good idea to limit the voltage, or you can use a transistor current follower but in this case i believe you might need a full bridge rectifier it depends on the Frequency you have and the capacitor value you also have

Awesome stuff, it would have been great to make a mod with an accumulator for stops due to traffic lights when the led stop lightening, I am thinking about it. Keep going, great video !

Excellent hack and upgrade! Have MIL to additionally try using a helmet (mounted) light. The light tracks where she is looking, not the direction that the wheel is pointed. This is an amazing improvement. Much better visual information = much safer.
