Best Exercise Bikes of 2022
Exercise bikes have exploded in popularity in the last few years — and one reason is the engaging content that is now available on many bikes. Rather than spin inside alone in a dark room, indoor cycling bikes now feature full-color interactive touchscreens with live classes, personal trainers, crisp outdoor landscapes, and even a full 24-stage breakdown of the Tour de France. We have researched, tested, and compared the best exercise bikes on the market, and here is our breakdown for 2022. So jump on, and try one out!

NordicTrack S22i
Our favorite bike overall, the s22i is quiet, compact, has an attached 22” touchscreen and includes iFit content free for the first 30 days. There are indoor studio rides, outdoor routes, and our favorite feature? The s22i inclines and declines! The 20% incline and 10% decline allows the bike to tilt up and down while you ride to make the experience feel much more realistic.

Bowflex C6
Looking for something affordable that is well-built but doesn’t require a subscription? The Bowflex C6 is a great option. This comfortable bike has hybrid pedals so you can ride it clipped in or with regular shoes. The magnetic resistance is super quiet and features 100 resistance levels so you can really dial in your desired resistance!

ProForm Studio Bike Pro 22
Another great iFit bike, the Pro 22 has a 22” touchscreen and includes iFit free for the first 30 days. This bike also has magnetic resistance with 34 resistance levels adjusted on the touchscreen. The Pro 22 provides an affordable option for those looking for a touchscreen bike with engaging content that won’t break the bank.

Sole SB900
The Sole SB900 is another great option if you want a sturdy bike that offers a great ride experience but doesn’t require a subscription. Like the Bowflex C6, the SB900 has hybrid pedals and magnetic resistance with an impressive 48lb flywheel! You can stand up, sit down, and ride for hours on this comfortable, affordable bike.

MYX Fitness Exercise Bike
A newer model on our list is the MYX Fitness bike. It also includes an attached 22” touchscreen with proprietary MYX Fitness content. The included armband heart rate strap records your heart rate so you can keep track of your calories and exertion during each ride.

NordicTrack S15i
The cutest little sister to the Nordictrack s22i is the s15i. It’s essentially the same bike, only with a smaller 15” screen. This bike includes the 20% incline and 10% decline and automated resistance in iFit. If you want something like the s22i but would like to save a few dollars and are content with a slightly smaller screen, the s15i is great.

Echelon EX5s
Echelon has several different bike frame options in their lineup and of those, the EX5s is our favorite. This bike features a 21” touchscreen which supports Echelon’s FitApp training.

Sole SB700
The Sole SB700 has many of the same features as the SB900 only it incorporates friction rather than magnetic resistance and doesn’t have hybrid pedals. You can use any athletic shoe on this comfortable, affordable bike. The Bluetooth console is easy to use and provides a quick overview of your ride details.

ProForm Studio Bike Pro
The ProForm Studio Bike Pro is another iFit bike with a slightly smaller 10” touchscreen. There’s no incline or decline on this bike, but you still get an amazing ride experience at a reasonable price.

Peloton Bike/Peloton Bike+
Rounding out our top list is the ever-popular Peloton Bike. This bike revolutionized the exercise industry with its subscription content. The bike itself is very stable and comfortable and the subscription content continues to set the bar.

  2. Ab on July 30, 2022 at 12:18 am

I am surprised that the Concept2 BikeErg did not make the list. Do you consider all these bikes to be better or was it just an oversight?

  6. Zach Sanders on July 30, 2022 at 12:23 am

Nice video! Why did you rank bowflex C6 as #2, and not the velocore, w/ the lean feature? How do you think it compare’s to the S22i?

  7. Sean on July 30, 2022 at 12:23 am

If you have bad eyes the 15 inch screen is useless.

  9. R W on July 30, 2022 at 12:25 am

I decided on the Stryde bike with Peloton digital subscription ($13 per month). I think the Stryde bike is equivalent to a
Peloton and the open tablet allows me to choose any application.

  10. Dennis W on July 30, 2022 at 12:26 am

Based on your review I just ordered the Bowflex C6. It was $200 off. I am looking for something affordable that I can set up in my bedroom. I don’t need bells and whistles and I use an Apple watch.

  11. Selina on July 30, 2022 at 12:26 am

Are you doing one of these for ellipticals?

  34. Lloyd Francis on July 30, 2022 at 1:00 am

Thanks so much love, I’ll get the Nordic track S15i. Very helpful God bless

  35. sanman31 on July 30, 2022 at 1:00 am

I am surprised this list hasn’t been updated as they put the Peloton at the bottom due to price. Regular Peloton Bike has now gone on Sale now below $1600. iFit App, Music, and Classes I heard are Mediocre at best, and Nordic bike doesn’t have Bluetooth where the Peloton bike Doe so wondering why the Nordic s22i got the top slot. Side note, it would be nice to reach out to this lady for decision making to your particular needs, she sounds very knowledgeable and is spin instructor, I am at a crossroad on deciding between Peloton Regular Bike and Nordic s22i..:(

  36. Pat Mac on July 30, 2022 at 1:01 am

    Thank you, very helpful.

  37. Barbara Kluger on July 30, 2022 at 1:02 am

My shoulders and wrists can’t take a lot of pressure so I want to have a good workout while seated. It’d be really helpful to a longer look at how they look and work while you’re seated. It’s been tough finding a good upright exercise bike that can be easily used without leaning over and supporting so much weight on my arms/shoulders.

  38. TreadmillReviewGuru on July 30, 2022 at 1:03 am

Which bike are you buying this year? Let us know down in the comments!

  39. Christopher Hartsel on July 30, 2022 at 1:03 am

    Concept bikeerg?

  40. MJ Torres on July 30, 2022 at 1:03 am

Greetings! I was inquiring about the YOSUDA Magnetic Resistance Exercise Bike 350 lbs Weight Capacity. Do you have any information on this bike? I would appreciate your help. Thanks so much. I have low vision so safety is an issue.

  41. Jbowgo on July 30, 2022 at 1:07 am

    Thoughts on the Keiser M3i?

  42. Eric E on July 30, 2022 at 1:07 am

how is the resistance on the sole 900? better than the friction on sole 700?

  43. ZZZ-me on July 30, 2022 at 1:07 am

    wow, peloton number 10? wow

  44. Charlieboy Lol on July 30, 2022 at 1:09 am

Is the Nordic better than Peloton + , thanks 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍

  45. Angie 09 on July 30, 2022 at 1:10 am

is the peleton plus bike the only bike that you can ride with friends?

  46. Bryan Dover on July 30, 2022 at 1:10 am

You did everything we’d like to know except the most important thing… The MSRP of each. OK, so yeah. It can change. But we can all look at the date of the video and at least have a ballpark idea.

  47. Bryan Dover on July 30, 2022 at 1:11 am

Pedals aren’t really an issue. They are a matter of preference and can be changed, just like on a regular road bike.

  48. Anthony on July 30, 2022 at 1:12 am

Does the Nordic Track s22i allow the user to use 3rd party provider when ifit expires?

  49. doris Hernandez on July 30, 2022 at 1:14 am

Thank you for a deep detailed review on all those bikes. The only question I have between the Bowflex 6 and a peloton is the durability? I came across many videos where some were sharing that the Swinn IC4 "which is supposed to be the bowl flex 6 " has issues within a month or 2. Please help. I’d appreciate your feedback. Thank you!!!
