That 3 wheel suntour rear derailleur… First saw it on a bike up at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite, where one of the people in the "Rescue volunteers camp" had his bike sitting up against the tree. The bike was ancient, maybe 70’s? I can send you a photo of the bike if you like. I though it was pretty cool, but I think it is a case of a solution in search of a question, kinda like the crank freewheel design. Cheers!

I’m shocked that you do own a pair of shoes. Lol!
So used to see you in your garage with socks or bare feet. Lol!
    Nice haul!

I had that 3 pulley derailleur. It came on my 1984 Norco Sasquatch. Friction shifting. the theory behind it was to minimize chain bounce, I think.

  7. BoogieKnight1976 on January 24, 2023 at 3:27 am

The Marin looks tidy hope the shock rebuild goes well .

Did you get my message about using a vice to take a part a frozen BB? The BB turns on both sides in the direction of forward moving wheel. It works pretty well. I used the bike and a long long pipe as leverage.

I’m so happy to see that you are still posting new videos! Thank you!

I can’t wait to get outta south Florida. Everything is so overpriced. You’ve have to see the classifieds and marketplace here. A total joke! I recently traveled 260 miles round trip to get me a couple of 1992 GTs in pristine condition. Seized gs200 shifter unseized thanks to RJ…

  15. George Kazimierczak on January 24, 2023 at 3:36 am

I bought a Marin Pine Mountain new in 1992 and still have it. When released it had orange forks and an orange stem. I fitted mine with the original Rock Shox

Looks like a screaming deal all the way around. Heads up on one of your items: about 10 yrs ago I picked up a bike to rehab with that same 3 pulley Sun Tour R. derailleur. All I remember was it gave me grief. I think I swapped it out for another R. deraileur – or – spent a lot of time getting it to work "reasonably well". Maybe I just had some damaged goods, I don’t know. But, it’s stuck with me to avoid any other bikes with that same 3 pulley derailleur.

  22. Canada Life on January 24, 2023 at 3:43 am

what a steal of a deal! im jealous

  23. Arthur Schierhoff on January 24, 2023 at 3:44 am

Good finds. Our local co op has garage sales on occasion, which I take advantage of.

  24. ZeBen84 on January 24, 2023 at 3:45 am

Best deals are the stem, bars plus ultegra levers with brakes and the stainless steels cables. If it was me i would have only bought that

The Marin is cool and worth it for you because of the forks and the fact that you can make a video about it.

  25. Trent Doyle on January 24, 2023 at 3:46 am

I wanna know where you co-op is.. LOL!!!

  26. David T on January 24, 2023 at 3:47 am

The Marin is the Score ❗ the manitou are almost easier to repair than rockshoxs

  27. The Ephemeral Glade on January 24, 2023 at 3:47 am

MMmmm! Save some of that sweet elastomer goo for me. Goes great on pumpernickel!

  28. wjlasloThe2nd on January 24, 2023 at 3:47 am

The triple-pulley derailleur looks cool, it’s a SunTour XC mountain bike derailleur, Disraeli Gears has a little bit of info about it on his site.

  29. Ya boi on January 24, 2023 at 3:48 am

I wish we had this kinda stuff in the uk. It’s always crazy expensive

  30. Steve Payne on January 24, 2023 at 3:52 am

The 3 pulley derailleur is certainly interesting. You did great for $155.

  37. Matthew Gies on January 24, 2023 at 4:01 am

FYI, it’s pronounced "muh-RIN", not "MARE-in". Named after the county in California where they’re headquartered.

Those cables are a damn steal, the handlebars with the goodies are also a deal

  47. deathbyzergling on January 24, 2023 at 4:12 am

Can’t wait to see the rebuild video!

  48. Paul J on January 24, 2023 at 4:12 am

WOuld be nice to see you rebuild that elastomer front fork, as I happen to have one here that also needs rebuilding 🙂 A bought a one meter string of rubber for E10,-, that I plan to cut to size. A set of ready to go elastomers is way too expensive over here.

  49. The Timkatt on January 24, 2023 at 4:13 am

The cables alone would probably cost $150 retail.

  50. Saku Erittäin korkea on January 24, 2023 at 4:15 am

Shifting cables is a real real deal.
