Altra Mont Blanc Initial Review:from the snow trails in Park City

In the video, I review the new Altra Mont Blanc 00:00 introduction, 00:53 details, from the trails 05:42- fit, ride, uses from the snow trails and pavement in Park City, UT just over the ridge line of Wastach Mountains from where the brand was started

The Mont Blanc has a 30 mm heel / 30 mm forefoot stack of Altra new and energetic EGO Max foam and Vibram LiteBase Megagrip outsole. It weighs a very light 9.65 oz / 274g in a US9 and has very secure midfoot and toe box and of course very roomy toe box.

Hi thx for your review on the MB. I’m currently on the Paradigm and the MB has the same midsole which I like and prefer. Now I know it’s marketed as a race day shoe and even Altra recommend I use it for that but I don’t find any of there other trail shoes as tight for my foot as this one and it will be a competition against myself 😂 anyway I see you’ve been running on snow and with winter coming here in Norway to I was just wondering if your feet ever got wet. I mean I’m not planing on running in powder but it might snow or that slush rain how water resistant are they and have you tried any of that water resistant sprays on them by any chance. Thx

Thanks for the excellent review. Would you personally prefer the speedgoat 5 or the Mont Blanc?

But can it go long like the Olympus 4??? Good and comfy for those ultra distances? I’ve heard it’s a lot more firm and better for shorter distance races?

Great review as always, Do you think the heal would take a 4mm heal lift, so I can ease my self into zero drop or do you think you will loose the heal lock.

This shoe really shines !!! I think the EGOMAX plays well on the trails. I was wondering how it would do, to soft ?? I think it’s fine. Fantastic crusier here.

God I wish Altra didn’t have such a drop in quality lately. Things look really nice. For the 3 months they’re going to last.

Awesome review mate, I generally use trail shoes on the road like the altra Olympus. I think you have just sold me on buying a pair when they drop here in Australia.👍

Did I mention how much I envy you for being able to enjoy that scenery on a daily basis? 😅
