Bike stand from Aldi very cheap and does the job.
Great info Chris! Thanks
“…when it comes to LOOOBIN’ and inspectin’ your chain.”
The tool that I want is a ‘scan tool’ – a plug in gadget that allows full access to the electrics and can log faults or update software or features… but until there is a common standard and the manufacturers get less protective about their ‘secrets’, this will always remain a dealer-level service function…
What Garmin watch is Neil wearing in the video?
I usually just zip-tie my crank to my chain ring when I want to back pedal while in the stand.
For my Bosch powered Trek Rail I use a zip tie to attach the crank arm to the chain ring so I can pedal the drivetrain backwards. Cheap and easy.
Goodness …. did Shimano sponsor this one or something?????
I use small room dehumidifier in the bike shed after a wet ride – it will dry the ebike out in the time it takes to recharge the battery
Don’t forget that the shimano plug system can use two different sizes. The tool you mention is the newer skinnier plug on a lot of ep8 systems but most other shimano motors and some bikes use a mix of both plug sizes
Crank stopper? Useless waste of money. Use an Allen key
Excellent Video’s Guys always A 👍👍👍
Are resistance band weights accurate?
Damn 50sek since upload 🫣 thanks for the great work guys! Learned loads from u guys
First
A reversible torque wrench. Bearing puller and installer
Tyre repair kit, pump, multi tool, bottle opener 🙂
Why all shimano most common motors bosch yamaha all content always biased and sponser only.
Can’t use the back Pedal option on mine as it has the worst chain control I’ve ever seen. Have to remember to place it in the middle gear if I want to back pedal.
I’d definitely recommend changing the shimano plastic preload caps for the bergtec aluminium ones. Easy to fit and use an allen key. Much sturdier and help save the dreaded crank walk
I’m missing the "This video is sponsored by …"
I lift my bike using a block and tackle from joist in the garage . It has a swivel on it , so can spin bike around , plus can put it at any height and also store it there !
