Made all of them! Thanks! PS I find that if you do end up with a jersey too big, a quick 90 degree hot wash in the machine with your whites should reduce it to the proper size! oh and who has never had an embarrassing fall due to baggy shorts catching the saddle nose as you get off!

sometimes i tight the clip(last strap) but leave loose the other two straps so when my feets starting to sore I just adjust it on the go

Newbie question: Does one buy the same size clip on as regular shoes? I’m a runner & I buy 1/2 size larger running shoes than my regular size shoe. Wondering what the rule is for bike shoes.

LOL pretty new to road biking been bmx for 20 years…ive only been road biking for 2 weeks on a trek domane 5.2 I’ve done 50 mile rides in 2.5 hours by myself. Lol I’m gonna keep wearing my snug briefs under my bontrager shorts…its very comfortable…i don’t care about people seeing the lines of the underwear…you are already wearing skin tight yoga pants essentially like a woman would wear lol. Plus….my shorts stay cleaner wearing my underwear….think about it…your sweaty bunghole rubbing into your shammy making skids marks into your shammy…plus maybe shammy cream also? Lol no thanks.

    nice ride

When it comes to safety, day or night, lighter colors are best…why is he in dark clothing? Bike shorts (padded) are a sham. I was always getting sores and chaffed with the padded shorts,so, I went to unpadded and things are happier now in the lady bits. Also, clothing that fits too close to the skin will hold in heat when it’s hot and in the winter you will feel cold faster. I have been riding for 40 years and I know what works.

When I was a teenager still growing, I one day I put on my bike shoes. They were now really snug fitting. My friends, and I were riding on the hills for about 30min on a hot day. My feet felt like they were expanding, I had to take the shoes off. We continued to ride on the hills. Then when we came flying down hill, my brakes weren’t working. I couldn’t put my feet on the ground. So I crashed into a bush. Now I always check my breaks. I know how to adjust brakes if to tight or to loose. I check the condition of the brakes rubber pads too.

Hi Danny, new subscriber, I just got back from cycling the around the Bondensee through Germany and Austria, much better riding in Europe then here in New York City. I agree with your last tip, my new fizik shoes were becoming too uncomfortable after about an hour of riding, I was getting bad hot spots on the soles of my feet, all I did was loosen the Boa and Velcro straps, of course my specialized shoes are a lot more comfortable but the Fiziks match the bike better!! Keep up the good content. I also got a Canyon endurance based on your review, I already have an Aeroad CF SLX which feels a little more comfortable. Thanks

good tip about the shoes, I was over tightening mine which was causing pain during long cycles

Hi I’m from India could suggest where can I buy a shirt like this

  21. Greg Kent on June 27, 2019 at 8:55 pm

I see many riders and pros with the helmet strap too loose. You didn’t talk about that. I’ve seen newbees wearing the helmet backwards. Too many people buy things and never read the info provided. This especially pertains to new car manuals. No time to read…"I’ll just call AAA."

  22. Jon Padfield on June 27, 2019 at 8:58 pm

Thanks for the video. I have been over tightening my shoes without realizing it.

    Sehr Scion. Wo ist es?

  24. dosetti on June 27, 2019 at 9:03 pm

I think i have been overtightening my shoes. Theres an artery on top of the foot which you can feel or even see pulsating right under the top or second from the top fastening clip/shoe lace hole and you can stop it from flowing with your finger too. So ivery important tip, thnks.

    Nice Lycra.

  27. MuppetAlex1 on June 27, 2019 at 9:04 pm

Yeah, probably guilty of all three. I tend to get a lot of my geer from Aldis, so don’t do the jacket check etc. That was OK for MTB, but with the road work I am now doing I find that fit is a big issue,, especially after about 50 miles. I have replaced shoes and gone for a three pin system, since the pressure is spread out more than the two pins, that off road shoes. I will try loosening the straps a bit, since I do get numb feet still. The lid I am OK on fitting. I am looking at a Kask Mojito for Xmas. Although it is a road lid, I don’t see why I cant also use it instead of the Giro Hex for mtb. Anyway, very comfortable. The jacket I will definitely try that. However, the aldi job is quite a good fit. Better than the more expensive Altura. But I will definitely try your hack.

My winter riding bib didn’t have padding.

  29. Charles Roberts on June 27, 2019 at 9:05 pm

Your first point, about the helmets tilting backwards seems to be very common amoungst female cyclists … I cringe every time I see it, for the very reasons you gave.

My biggest beginner’s mistake: going in a long ride alone in the countryside without any spare tire or pump or any mechanical tool

  31. Spicy Fireball on June 27, 2019 at 9:06 pm

I seek the most protection I can get by wearing a helmet on my head and on my face.

  36. Robert Tab on June 27, 2019 at 9:12 pm

It’s easier to say that I wear the helm right. Everything else it’s wrong. Thx for teaching us.

Mistake #6: Wearing your glasses over your helmet straps. When you take your helmet off, so does your glasses. Wear them correctly under so you can put your helmet on or take them off or you can put you glasses on or take them off without bothering with the other.

  49. David Burt on June 27, 2019 at 9:24 pm

Ah no it won’t . I believe in being seen and making sure I make eye contact with anyone pulling out in front of me but I don’t believe for one minute that a helmet like that is going to make a difference . Just make you look a tit
