    Excellent video presentation.

as a year-round cyclist commuter at northern latitudes, i absolutely loathe w i r e s and exposed finicky delicate mechanics. not being able to store the cycle inside either at work or at home, most cycles are just done for unless pampered and curled. are there no no-frills, wire-less, stain-less, uv resistant cycles around that doesnt deteriorate if stored outside😮

They all look great but why don’t they integrate the e-motor into the multi gear rear hubs ? Or put the e-motor around the multi geared hubs ? I can’t figure it out. This would raise the torque of the bike enormously and allow incredible off and on road acceleration. The newton meters would go off the scale !

  5. Verstappa on January 1, 2023 at 1:39 am

    Looks heavy

  6. oldskoolhead0 on January 1, 2023 at 1:40 am

250nm torque at last something rugged enough for a decent mid drive motor like a bbshd 😉

  7. Timo on January 1, 2023 at 1:40 am

7:29 is the tyre installed backwards?

  8. SolarizeYourLife on January 1, 2023 at 1:41 am

Ok I understand (NOT) the $1500 gearboxes, but why why why do they jack the price up for the rest of the bike?!? The companies are selling the whole bike at $5000 plus 🖕👎
ENOUGH ALREADY stop nickel and diming us, we’re broke…

Are these new drivetrains compatible with the geometry of today’s recumbent trikes?

  11. LLP on January 1, 2023 at 1:43 am

I did not see any box

  12. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 1:45 am

    Gear boxes for e bikes?

  13. CYCLINGABOUT on January 1, 2023 at 1:47 am

Will you be switching to a gearbox or internal gear hub on your next bike? 🤔

  14. James Smith on January 1, 2023 at 1:48 am

    Looks good How much $?

  15. grimspectre on January 1, 2023 at 1:50 am

thanks for sharing! it’s really sad that so few channels are sharing more on these technologies.

  16. Mroso on January 1, 2023 at 1:51 am

    mine easily get…

  17. Ulrich Müller on January 1, 2023 at 1:51 am

Pinion offers gearboxes for years, but there a just a handful of bikes who uses it, but why

    – али кога ти видиш да вози бицикло
    само холанђани
    – овдје живи око два милиона странаца ни један странац не вози бицикло

то ником ником на свијету није интересантно
    – а вјеруј да има народа да их и не занима

Still concerned that the receiver gets a lot of abuse. That’s why I hate derailleur!

  20. Maksim Tarasov on January 1, 2023 at 1:54 am

I just need 3speed gear box for my 3kwt ebike!

  21. John E on January 1, 2023 at 1:57 am

24% steps are way too big for my 6-7% tastes.

  22. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 1:58 am

Has a tink to spin three

  23. Tracey McNeel on January 1, 2023 at 1:58 am

What do you recommend for a bike tour of a distance of about 1500.00 miles as for IGH set up and low maintenance; I currently have an 8-speed Shimano SG-7001 Nexus on a Trekking bike and my LBM recommended shrinking down to a 34t front chain ring for fully loaded bike touring.

  24. John Corlett on January 1, 2023 at 1:58 am

grew up with the good old sturmy archer 3 speed, never got the hang of deraileur gears.hopefully these gearboxes will become commonplace and cheap as chips

  25. Alfonso De la Fuente on January 1, 2023 at 2:02 am

Been running an Alfine 7 IGH in a 1.600W 160Nm midmotor ebike for 4 years with great results
Find it best for the buck option by far, but you dont include Alfine in your comparison
    Its no longer available?

  26. Hrushi Varma on January 1, 2023 at 2:02 am

Who is the dealer for such cycles in India?

  27. Zidane Tribal on January 1, 2023 at 2:04 am

Всё херь. Чем больше трущихся деталей, тем больше потерь энергии.

  28. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 2:05 am

One gear spins for ward one back wards

  29. Flyte Industries on January 1, 2023 at 2:06 am

Leave it to the germans to engineer the best. Elon’s success can be directly attributed to Hans Koenigsmann.

  30. Jason M79 on January 1, 2023 at 2:07 am

I could use that for my custom bike. It’s only 210 lbs

  31. RetributionX on January 1, 2023 at 2:08 am

Auto gear ?gonna be problem for bicycle

  32. Élisabeth Vilcot on January 1, 2023 at 2:09 am

Then is guldan to spin more

  34. joseph cooksley on January 1, 2023 at 2:11 am

Yep i am looking for a two wheel drive bike … ie manual rear drive , electric front wheel drive and charging for down hill slopes ????

  35. B on January 1, 2023 at 2:12 am

wow this guide you do looks great! I’ll get one next year – when does it come out?

  36. ElderWitch86 on January 1, 2023 at 2:15 am

My concern would be getting replacement parts. Its almost impossible to find/buy a bike with these setups. Until there is a universally agreed mount point for frames. Then all of this tech is useless.

We dont even have standard derailleur mounts. Why would anyone want to buy a gearbox bike when a year later the new latest gearbox wont fit.
Wheel hubs make a lot more sense, i dont see the point in classified. If you are going to still use a cassette/chain why even bother. Belt or nothing.

  37. DM 2MW on January 1, 2023 at 2:15 am

Kudos with the comprehensive review and all superb internal hub gears there. I just feel more frustrated than ever that I won’t be able to afford these sort of drivetrains and that bike manufacturers are aiming these for use with e-bicycles.
So very little to choose an affordable internal hub gear bicycle here in Australia. The least expensive you can get will have a Nexus 8 + Gates carbon belt but the climbing gear is really lacking with this set-up unless with the help of an electric motor ( which I do not prefer because of added costs/weight ). An Alfine 11 set-up is even harder to find than a Rohloff.

  38. Harry Mattah on January 1, 2023 at 2:17 am

Citroën did suppress the lateral thrust on helical gears… dozen of years ago.

  39. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 2:17 am

    Robust and efficents

  40. corrdude on January 1, 2023 at 2:18 am

I’m so done with derailleur frailty. I can’t avoid door closers and tip overs. They cause hanger to bend. Then I’m a shitty hand with my hanger aligner.

  41. Etu Suku on January 1, 2023 at 2:19 am

All wheel drive electric for the win!

  42. Santiago on January 1, 2023 at 2:20 am

sprocket wear More pocket money, I think we’re going backwards instead of forwards

  43. Mark Stevens on January 1, 2023 at 2:21 am

Just say NO! the chain has worked for over a hundred years and it’s gonna work for the next hundred years. with this system more crap to break and it’s all internal and dependent on china shipping

  44. IrgendWer on January 1, 2023 at 2:22 am

we still need to make them cheaper

  45. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 2:24 am

    Lots of gear ranges

  46. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 2:25 am

    Whent for a bigger gear

  47. Physics by ,Stan Prisajny on January 1, 2023 at 2:25 am

Needs a static geomitry of a gear box or smaller

  48. 🇷🇺 Hunter Biden's Crackpipe on January 1, 2023 at 2:26 am

    250nm yes sir!!

  49. Patrick Hayes on January 1, 2023 at 2:31 am

Too many options, where to start? Great news, I’m buying a new bike in 24!

  50. Clayton Macleod on January 1, 2023 at 2:31 am

    Where are the CVTs?
