  2. Jason Ramit on August 6, 2022 at 11:31 pm

  3. Ron on August 6, 2022 at 11:31 pm

  5. ptro02d on August 6, 2022 at 11:33 pm

The Stoic 4 got DT Swiss M1900 Rims and not the Alexrims. Got mine yesterday 👌

I freaking love hardtails. I just picked up niner air 9 aluminum hardtail. Already upgraded it with magura m8 pro brakes. And industry nine 1-1 wheelset

  9. Jon Brady on August 6, 2022 at 11:36 pm

They completely missed the best hardtail imho – the Nukeproof Scout

  10. Hans Lidlwagen on August 6, 2022 at 11:36 pm

    Where’s Dartmoor Primal?

  11. Tim Johns on August 6, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Missed on this top 5 was geometry. This drastic mis step doesn’t tell the consumer if the bike is more extreme trail worthy or better yet for bike packing or simple trails, gravel graded paths, road or pavement

  12. John M on August 6, 2022 at 11:42 pm

Banshee paradox v3 is one of the best out there

  13. joe b on August 6, 2022 at 11:43 pm

Top 5 based on what? Every bike is different for different riding styles. This is just another dumb top 5 lists to get views. Talking about an aluminum chameleon but is showing the carbon model..says it lacks water bottle mounts when it has two..

  14. Richard Burns on August 6, 2022 at 11:44 pm

The Whyte 905 is the best hardtail, year after year, wins every long and short term test, every review, when you think the rest are closing in…….it excels again.

  15. Jason Sparrow on August 6, 2022 at 11:45 pm

I have a Mongoose Ardor that’s better and more well-equipped than that Salsa Rangefinder for around 1000 bucks all said. Vicious geometry too.

  16. Анар Гаджиев on August 6, 2022 at 11:46 pm

  18. Mike Leone on August 6, 2022 at 11:48 pm

FYI, on heavy commercial airplanes, so-called "aircraft grade" 6061-T6 aluminum is pretty much only used on interior cabin components like trim and brackets on partitions, lavatories and galleys. But for the primary structural components of the airplane, 2000 and 7000 series aluminum, with its higher yield strength, is widely used. So 2000 and 7000 series aluminum is what I’d call "aircraft grade" aluminum. But you’re not going to weld a bicycle frame together with those alloys.

  26. MTB Alex on August 6, 2022 at 11:55 pm

You should also talk about the prices

  27. Hubie's Travels on August 6, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Ooooh…ya missed a bunch…and the best. And the best are the brands that don’t advertise everywhere. Cotic, Ragley, Whyte, GT(Zaskar LT), and Marin. I did have a 2020 $473.00 Schwinn hardtail from Walmart(sold-it). Equipped with Weinmann wheels, 29×2.35 Kenda tires, Shimano Zee components and a Suntour Aion 29 fork. Of all the expensive hardtails in my basement, this one was definitely the workhorse that refused-to-die.

  28. Michael Sta. Ana on August 6, 2022 at 11:57 pm

  32. Frankie Perez on August 7, 2022 at 12:04 am

Trek Roscoe 8 should be in this list

  33. Jordan R on August 7, 2022 at 12:06 am

Great Vid! Thanks for the content. I’d like to throw the Yeti ARC into the mix. It’s the Ferrari of HT’s imo.

  34. KulaFachi on August 7, 2022 at 12:06 am

Ragley mmmbop is the best HT

  35. James Robert MTB on August 7, 2022 at 12:07 am

Love the look of these aggressive hardtails. Not sure if it would replace my enduro rig, but would be fun to switch it up from time to time. I imagine they climb far better too!

  36. AZRob on August 7, 2022 at 12:11 am

    You missed Spot Rocker.

  37. Rhodem Lord Capilla on August 7, 2022 at 12:11 am

    this content is cancer

  43. david hammell on August 7, 2022 at 12:17 am

What? No mention of the Schwinn Axum DP?

  44. D G on August 7, 2022 at 12:18 am

Funny thing is that when people say hardtail, most only see a trail or enduro mtb. XC bikes have hardtails too fyi.🤦🏻‍♂️

  45. ed torres on August 7, 2022 at 12:21 am

The best upgrade on my hardtail was installing the PNW Coast dropper. It is the ONLY dropper with 40mm of air suspension. It saved my lower back.

  46. Charan Jaswal on August 7, 2022 at 12:22 am
