$150 for Revolights Eclipse (the second one into the video). This is a real shame, ideally most riders should be able to afford good lighting.

0:29 – if you are at the rear bumper of a car indicating and turning infront of you the LAST thing you should be doing is moving up their inside to continue going ahead. She’s lucky here to not be under the cars front wheels because most drivers would see her behind them before indicating and assume she’s going to stay there.

Here is a home made lighting system that is very bright, cheap, and has not been stolen here in Bellingham! https://allyn.com/integrated_bicycle_light_system/integrated_bicycle_light_system.html

I’m a commuter cyclist so I understand the need for visibility, but these are just expensive novelties. You use these products if you’re spoiled for choice or you wanna show off your ‘personality’ to the guys at the bike community. These things are like those avant-garde fashion that no one wears except maybe for rich people going to super secret orgies or something.

Real cyclists are much more practical; they just need to be able to see and BE seen on the road and they dont take much. Real cyclists also obey the rules and respect other road users DESPITE those rules.

Most of all, real cyclists are empathetic, so if for some reason you see one that bangs on car hoods demanding to pass first, that’s a cyclist who forgot that the road was made for everyone, so everyone on the road should be careful, respect and look out for each other.

I’m pairing CKB Ltd Bicycle Signalling System(two of these.) with Te-Rich Rechargeable Bike Lights Front and Back – Ultra Bright Bicycle Headlight and Taillight (two of these.). $35 and $25 respectively.

I am looking to emulate a regular vehicle with turn signals and headlights. A $14 120DB horn allows we to warn drivers a lot better than a clown horn or a bell.

    You will see me!

Blinkers under the seat are nice but how do you know if they are blinking under your butt, you don’t unless if the remote identifies that it is blinking under your butt on the remote blinker itself!

  24. m9078jk3 on June 27, 2019 at 8:58 pm

Here is what should be used. Multiple Blinding 7 watt Blue LASER pointers decollimated in addition to powerful headlights for the front and blinding 2 Watt Red and Green LASER light shows (3 of them) for the back of the bicycle. The lights have to be far more powerful and blinding than any current LED system available for bicycles.

  25. uBreakIt iRepairIt on June 27, 2019 at 8:59 pm

Now instead of forgetting your lights at home, you’ll forget to bring your entire bike inside to charge the grips. Or forget to unscrew your grips and charge them.

  41. Richard P. Franklin on June 27, 2019 at 9:22 pm

Unfortunately, almost all of those are BS. As a cyclist, I must pay close attention to the road surface ahead because a bike is very vulnerable and depends on the quality of the surface a lot. Which is why cyclists would notice a tiny laser projection on the road. As a motorist, I only pay attention to what can pose a threat to me: potholes, manholes, people or animals on the road and other vehicles. Notice how all of them are macro objects. No motorist will ever pay attention to your itty-bitty light show on the road or some tiny blinking crap in your handlebars. And you should be identifiable as a CYCLIST. All those light experiments from startups make it difficult for motorists to even know that what they’re seeing is a cyclist, not some stray light from a neon billboard or a bizarre reflection in their windscreens and mirrors.

The only way for you to be noticed is to stand out against a backdrop of street lights, neon crap plaguing our cities and to actually be almost as noticeable in terms of lighting as cars and motorbikes around you. Leave all the stupid blinking baby-lights to play with your cats, like I do. Go for something at least as noticeable as what you’d put on a scooter. Stay safe, my fellow cyclists.

Guys are careful with the Luma System apparently they are scammers! ready here is the link. Tech news I would do a little more research on what you advertise. Nothing personal. Good video though.
