I bought this bike for me and the W version for my fiancee and her bike came with Kenda tires. When I asked them why they said that they are having supply issues and that those Kenda are same quality as the Bontrager it was supposed to come with. I didn’t believe them but I had to take it because they are sold out everywhere where I live.

What B.S. from Trek. I bought a Nishiki Colorado 29er from Dick’s that was just as good! No fork lockout but so what? I believe the bikes were made by GT by the way.

I’m dead confused between a Marlin 6 (2021) vs an expensive scott aspect 930 (2021). If i opt for a scott, then how better is the shimano deore (2×10) over shimano altus (2×8). Like what’s the real world difference? Please help!

I’d love to see a review on the new 2022 Marlin 8! Its a great looking bike and it has a 1×12 drivetrain

I got a 2020 marlin 6 ml around october last year and have rode it once. Since then its just been collecting dust. How much do you think I can get it for. Its in great condition and the one time I rode it was just around the neighborhood.

Honestly I’m gonna take a break from Trek and give trickle down tech as well as supply a few years to trick out the lower end models with upgraded frames and componentry… trek bikes really feel lackluster compared to some of the other big bike brands

  12. Mark McEwan on August 2, 2022 at 11:22 pm

    I have the same bike

  13. Bro Visal on August 2, 2022 at 11:25 pm

    It’s made in Cambodia🇰🇭?🤔
    Cambodia is my country.

  14. Guy FawkesU on August 2, 2022 at 11:29 pm

  15. t 800 on August 2, 2022 at 11:31 pm

  16. Dain Santiago Rojas on August 2, 2022 at 11:32 pm

    where are you from

  17. Sean on August 2, 2022 at 11:37 pm

Can you review 2021 trek marlin 7

  18. jesus117 on August 2, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Trek has always said the most expensive part of bike is frame and fork, they say it’s the nicest frame for the price compare to other bikes at same price point, it goes for all their bikes. Silver alloy is same as all other bikes at same price… The bad thing some bike companies have done are put 1 by drivetrain, it’s more expensive to replace, not enough gearing

I just got my red trek marlin 6 the other day

  20. Zeke on August 2, 2022 at 11:39 pm

  21. Mario Dippel on August 2, 2022 at 11:40 pm

  25. Vansh Oberoi on August 2, 2022 at 11:46 pm

What is the difference between 2020 Marlin 6 and 2021 Marlin 6

  26. Mark Stelios on August 2, 2022 at 11:47 pm

Just bought this for my boy to get into MTB. Good bike needs a few up grades but a good frame to build on. Can’t believe it’s not tapered though.

  27. Rubren Castro Dumaual on August 2, 2022 at 11:51 pm

    Basic

  28. Oliwer Kurman on August 2, 2022 at 11:52 pm

  30. Scott Dean on August 2, 2022 at 11:54 pm

  35. Bikemike 1 on August 2, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Cannot help myself but these 29“ wheels on a Hardtail still look weird to me and my aesthetic senses

  36. 02HREBlue on August 2, 2022 at 11:57 pm

    Foreign. Shameful and greedy

  37. Phil Miecznikowski on August 2, 2022 at 11:57 pm

I picked this up in blue at my local bike shop and am pretty happy with it. Picked up some pedals and a different seat too and it does a great job for me. I’m just getting back into biking after a decade hiatus and am more then happy with my purchase so far. Availability on ANY bikes made shopping around extremely difficult. I happened upon one of these in my preferred size on accident an I’m pretty sure it was the last one in the state.

  38. Doiny on August 2, 2022 at 11:57 pm

is this bike good for trails and jumps? alot of people have told me no but i would love to know

  39. t 800 on August 2, 2022 at 11:57 pm

is m/l size is bigger than m???

  40. Chris Balser on August 2, 2022 at 11:59 pm

Nice bike but does seem to be getting a bit dated. I have started noticing some of the big name bike companies becoming more relaxed and relying on their name more than pushing the envelope while adding value. The big box store bike makers seem to be listening to you YouTuber’s and your subscribers so maybe I’ll be taking on the local singletrack on one of those bikes. I enjoyed the vid.

My Trek Marlin 7 2020 Emerald Green says it’s made in Cambodia.

  42. C. Freeman on August 3, 2022 at 12:00 am

I have this bike and it’s amazing. The only item that I changed so far is the seat. That seat will KILL your bum and other softer areas. Highly recommend this bike to anyone.

  43. Liger King on August 3, 2022 at 12:03 am

It’s disappointing when a bike lacks front and rear suspensions.

  44. Samuel V. on August 3, 2022 at 12:04 am

How do you adjust the seat on this bike?

  45. Noob Mountainbikes Desert on August 3, 2022 at 12:04 am

I really considered the Marlin 6 but ended up with a Vitus Nucleus which I think is much better bang for the money. That internal cable routing is really nice though. The cheaper tires, not a 1X drive system, the cheaper derailleur, and not tapered head tube really hurt the bike for long run viability. For someone looking to get into the MTB world this is not the bike, this one is for the masses who want a decent bike with local support from a dealer.

  46. Chepe Cabrera on August 3, 2022 at 12:05 am

I had a schwinn taff I loved until the rear sprocket broke and teeth from my first gear shattered all over the road
Less than 100 miles on the bike and the taff broke down I was able to return it and got a Trek marlin 5 2022, identical to the trek Marlin 6 in this video and the difference between a schwinn and Marlin are night and day
The hydraulic breaks are amazing I’m surprised you did not speak more of the breaks
Have a good day thanks for reading love your videos kevcentral

Ended up getting this I was looking for the Duel Sport 3 – I guess these days what you would like to have may not be available. I have 0 regrets and love the bike. This bike just gives me a couple more route options 😊
